Cajun Depot Grill Reviews
If you haven’t eaten at Cajun Depot Grill, you absolutely need to go! The food is absolutely amazing—flavorful, hearty, and cooked to perfection. But what truly makes this place special is the owner and staff. They are incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel like family from the moment you walk in. Super cute restaurant, great food and service. We love eating here and highly recommend it!
Best restaurant in Ellijay by far! Outstanding Cajun food and great service. Lived here for two years and never noticed it, just outside of downtown. It’s my new favorite now. Highly recommend! You’d not be disappointed.

The Cajun Depot Grill provides a welcoming dining experience with its tasty and fresh cuisine. The menu features favorites like crab cake stuffed catfish and crawfish etouffee, which guests have thoroughly enjoyed. Many customers praise the excellent service and the food’s authenticity, especially noting the fresh, hot dishes and the delicious hush puppies that are like biting into a Cajun spiced cloud. The atmosphere has a local flavor, with a cozy, hidden charm located in an old RR depot across the river as visitors come into town from the west. Prices are comparable to other non-chain restaurants in the area, making it a good value. The lively ambiance, especially on busy Friday nights with free-flowing sweet tea, creates a vibrant and inviting setting. Guests often consider it a favorite spot to visit, particularly during the apple harvest season, and some from New Orleans find the food surprisingly authentic. However, recent experiences have shown that the kitchen’s recipes now lean more toward island creole than traditional Louisiana creole. Some customers have had issues with service, including unprofessional behavior from management, which has affected their trust in the restaurant. Despite this, many still enjoy the flavorful dishes and the warm atmosphere, making Cajun Depot Grill a popular local spot for delicious, authentic Cajun dishes in a lively setting.
