Don’t let the location fool you - the food is fresh, cheap, generously portioned, and delicious. My favorite item is the steak burrito - it’s massive, the meat is tender, and somehow it’s only $9. Don’t come here expecting a decadent meal - the food is simple, a bit greasy, and the atmosphere is well… gas station, but I still find myself coming back for more.“

“Their menu is Gluten Free from their entrees to desserts！ My husband had a Steak and mushroom wrap - the subtle wasabi taste is most pleasing; I had a Surf and Turf bowl - the portion is generous, the taste is a bit bland, but that also means no MSG, no preservatives too. The drinks other than the normal soda fountains, there are 7 kinds of ice tea for selection - I like the Mango flavored ice tea particularly. The servers are quick and friendly, and the self-served fast food arrangement is clean and comfortable for a sit down meal! They do catering too!!“

“This is the first time I have been to a Taco Mac and glad I went. Have a large menu with lots sports bar kind of food. I had 2 different kind of wings (mild buffalo and garlic Parmesan). The best part was the service! The server we had was amazing and it was honestly the best service I have had in a long time. Enjoyed my experience and would definitely be back.“

Her balance of checking in and giving space while throwing quips is something that has been lost in nearly every restaurant I attend. The art of service is something that is alive and well in Recess. So now my wife and I have been go to Recess every Monday for the last 2-3 years. It is just our spot at this point and it’s hard to remember a time before it.
