“This is a shout out to the best group of servers on planet earth. Today my family was at Fish Tales enjoying lunch when my grandmother suddenly had a medical crisis that at first appeared to be a stroke or cardiac event (ps - she is now fine). The entire restaurant of servers sprung into action - called 911 for us, made her a cold compress, got her some ice, guided the EMTs to us when they arrived, and basically took care of us in every possible way while we dealt with the crisis (with the help of 2 nurses who happened to be dining there too). They were all incredibly on the ball but also not obtrusive, just absolutely wonderful. I can’t imagine any of them were trained for medical emergencies or were expecting to deal with something like this on their shift, but they could not have been more professional, attentive, and caring. “The Mrs and I went there for lunch. She has a gluten allergy and the reviews indicated they offer GF options including burger buns and fries. Was welcomed very warmly and was told they could accommodate her allergy. Service was excellent -very friendly. I ordered wings as an appetizer and they came out right out of the fryer so they were nice and hot and sauced perfectly. We both had burgers and fries and they were great. “Heard about this place from their brunch location in Braselton. It did not disappoint! The owner was extremely attentive, personable, and welcoming. For apps, we got the crab cake, escargot (our favorite), spring salad (fantastic dressing), and the salmon pinwheel. For entrees, we got the beef bourg, lamb, scallops, and steak. Great portions and flavor. Our favorite was the dessert! Huge lemon crepe and strawberry crepe. The cocktails were also so good. “I checked out this spot recently and it was actually really good. The dumplings were delicious and definitely filling enough to be a meal on their own. They also gave us some spring rolls for free, which was a cool bonus.
What's nice is that they actually listen if you want to change or tweak the menu item , I asked for less oil in my shrimp fried rice and they made it exactly how I wanted.
Our waiter was also super helpful and kept checking in on us. I’m definitely going back soon just for the steamed soup dumplings.

“I have been multiple times and Pearl's Tea do not disappoint! They offer many different flavor combinations and you can pick your boba whether you like the tapioca or popping boba, or both! The strawberries and cream is always great that is a repeat order! Also, my absolute favorite coffee drink is the salted cream coffee (not pictured), I order this everytime I am in the area! It is an absolute perfect balance of salty/sweat/creamy with a strong coffee flavor. I enjoyed their coffee here more than some specifically coffee-based places around! Amazing place to hang out for an after work beer, or on one of their nights when they offer trivia, live music, various food trucks, music bingo and more. Medlock is one of my favorite beers, definitely best coming straight out the tap. They have a great variety of seasonal beers, an amazing variety of IPAs and I have yet to meet one I didn't like. You can sample prior to purchasing, they have flights as well if you want to try a variety at once. They also have some mixed drinks, sodas, snacks, and water available. They can even do a mocktail or two. It's hard making new friends as adults, but I've met so many here who are absolutely amazing! Truly a wonderful addition to the JC community.“

As for the food, the BBQ chicken plate was tender, flavorful, and coated in that signature sweet-and-savory glaze. The macaroni salad and rice were fresh and filling, rounding out the meal nicely. Portions were generous; definitely enough for a hearty lunch. The chicken katsu I tried on another visit was crisp on the outside and juicy inside, though slightly heavy if you’re looking for something lighter.
