Kawa 18 Ramen is under new management and also serves Lao street food. The food is very tasty, and the atmosphere is welcoming, making customers feel like they are eating at a family member’s home. Specific meals mentioned include curry rice, which was on point, and a hot bowl of Khao Piek Sen for a cold day, where the soup tasted like how customers’ parents and grandparents used to make it. The fried chicken came out hot and crispy with a familiar flavor. Other dishes ordered include Kao Poon, Lao Pho, beef sticks, larb chicken with sticky rice, and Laos Sausage, all described as delicious and authentic. One customer ordered the miso ramen with chicken and found it phenomenal, though another noted the broth had a certain taste and could not be finished, despite the ramen noodles and chicken being good and the portion very generous.
