This used to be my favorite place in Helen, GA. This Sunday we came to watch the NFL game of the year. The server at the front bar turned up the game for us, and the restaurant manager, a little blond lady complained and made him turn down the volume even though we were the only 8 people in the whole place so we couldn't listen to the game. We are in Helen on our 5th trip. Each time we come, we try to get into Paul’s, as it came recommended by a friend a few years ago, and we always have heard big things about it. Each time we tried, there was always a long wait. LONG. Talking at least an hour. Must be good, right? This time in town we got right in. It’s the off season here in Helen. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. We came as a party of six. The service was terrible. Waited ten plus minutes before anyone even came to our table for the drink order. The waiter came to our table a handful of times then literally disappeared and we couldn’t find him again. Drinks were also terrible and constantly empty. Food was terrible.
