The BBQ may be what they are known for, but the burger is the best around this little community especially at the price you would pay for a frozen pre-made patty at fast food!”

“My favourite out of a bucket full of great restaurants in Athens. It's a counter top order but someone delivers your meal in quick time and hot. But the food is why you come here. Southern through and through. There is not a thing on the menu I wouldn't bring home for dinner or just can't wait and order in. We ordered Christmas dinner from the Preacher and everyone said AMEN! The fried chicken is mouthwatering juicy good. The Pot Roast is just like your grandmother cooked it for hours. The Collard Greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas are scrumptious. Just go there. “This is a small public house in terms of square footage, but its food game is HUGE! We ate dinner here before singing a concert, so we did not have a beer. However, the plan is to return soon. We live in Atlanta, so the experience has to be worth the commute, right?

The Pork Belly with Korean BBQ sauce was insanely delicious. My fish and chips was top notch. The coating was light and crispy, and the fish was fresh, flaky, and substantial. Chips were skinny fries, but the tartar sauce made it super yummy when used as a chip dip. My husband had the lamb stew over rice. It was herbacious and rich, in a balanced way. Eat here!”

Cheba Hut is hands down the best sandwich spot around! The subs are insanely good – fresh ingredients, huge portions, and every bite is packed with flavor. The menu has awesome options for everyone, with creative names and unique flavor combos that you won’t find anywhere else. My go-to is the Bomb meatball sub, add jalapenos with a side of marinara sauce to dunk it in ? The vibe inside is super chill and relaxed, and the staff (aka "Homies") really make you feel welcomed. Plus, the munchies on the side are addictive! If you're looking for a laid-back spot with seriously delicious, out-of-this-world sandwiches, Cheba Hut is it. Don’t sleep on this place!
