“This is my go-to restaurant for a home cooked burger. The portion side is huge! Tasty crinkle cut fries accompany the burger with crispy goodness. The BBQ may be what they are known for, but the burger is the best around this little community especially at the price you would pay for a frozen pre-made patty at fast food!”

“My husband have visited several times late night after bowling. Each time the food has been hot, the employees are friendly, and it’s the only Waffle House where the temperature inside is comfortable, not freezing. The young man who cooks on Thursday nights has made a point to stop by our table each time to see if everything was good. We will continue to make our late night visits to this location.”

“My favourite out of a bucket full of great restaurants in Athens. It's a counter top order but someone delivers your meal in quick time and hot. But the food is why you come here. Southern through and through. There is not a thing on the menu I wouldn't bring home for dinner or just can't wait and order in. We ordered Christmas dinner from the Preacher and everyone said AMEN! The fried chicken is mouthwatering juicy good. The Pot Roast is just like your grandmother cooked it for hours. The Collard Greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas are scrumptious. Just go there. “Wonderful experience! If you enjoy trying unique, tasty, and beautiful food, then this is the place for you! My friend and I split the salmon crudo, mushroom rice paper pizza and the Viet crispy crepe. They asked if we had a reservation upon entering. We did not, but we were able to sit right down at the bar. The server at the bar was fantastic and helpful as we made choices. They accommodate food allergies, and mark things very well on the menu. Highly recommend for those with Celiac disease. So good! Will go back for sure!”
