“Got the recommendation from Kaleb Dance at Bobcat of Athens as this first time eating here. Food was fresh, really good and priced right with fast friendly service. I got the steak philly with everything on it and 5 piece wings (hot) as a combo. Wings are super tiny so I wish I hadn't skipped on the fries. They were pretty busy with people coming in and out so that says a lot in my opinion. The wing flavor was perfect, not too spicy with plenty of flavor. The Philly was buttery rich and the bread was soft but held everything in place“

Amazing fries and tater tots as sides with a great variety of funky dipping sauces, from raspberry ketchup to wasabi mayo. There's a full bar here too with a variety of well-made adult drinks. I had the El Diablo, a spicy, fruity tequila cocktail with my blackberry bacon jam burger. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

If you have room there are milkshakes, kid friendly or boozy milkshakes! but we were too stuffed to try.

I love vintage, so the kitschy diner decor - B movie posters, neon, etc made for a fun atmosphere as well.

It's a small space, there's outdoor dining too - but I'll bet it's crazy around regular meal times. We arrived around 9:00 on Saturday and it was busy but not nuts.“

At times, I have been disappointed with the quality and/or quantity of the order. However, today (9/20/24) I was very satisfied. I wanted to give props to whoever is in the kitchen this afternoon (around 11a.m.) because the tacos were put together well, with heaping quantities of slaw with the shrimp, and it was super yummy. We decided to have a little fun and take the Harley out today in 94 degree weather which I highly don’t recommend 🤣🤦‍♀️ came in for lunch and we’re seated quickly. Our server was very fast and prompt. We clearly were in need of water and she had those on our table very quickly. Our drinks were delicious, I had some mixed berry cocktail and the bartender did an amazing job! My partner got the rib special and omfg those were amazing and falling off the bone. I got a burger, something with Matt in it and it was soooo wonderful! I have never finished an entire burger anywhere but I did today!
Anyways I highly recommend this place. Food was amazing and service was wonderful and friendly. Our server did forget to put in our fried pickles but things happen and I’m not going to fault her for an honest small mistake. I appreciate she realized after we got our meals and apologized for her tiny mistake. Not many people can do that anymore.“

“It has been several years since I have been to Porterhouse, and what an incredible experience it was! Anthony (GM and Head-Chef) has really turned that place around!

It was a full restaurant on a Friday evening, and the atmosphere had a great vibe. Happy conversations and clinking of silverware could be heard throughout the dining room. The staff and service was awesome! They were very polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all, had a sense of urgency. Everyone was hustling!

And the food...good gracious. That was hands-down the BEST steak I have ever had from a restaurant, ever! Although the price tags might be a bit steep upon first glance, the whole dining experience was well-worth it. After 15 years of my own experience in food-service, I don't say this lightly!

Porterhouse is reclaiming it's stand as a fine-dining restaurant, and my family and I will definitely be going back!“
