“As a foodie, cook and wedding DJ for 30 years I have lots of experience with most of the catering companies in the Lower Mainland. I used to rate 5-Star as good for quality but VERY good for value. Over the last couple of years they've changed their culinary team and OMG they are freaking amazing now yet still have awesome pricing! The one dish that they weren't great at was always the roast beef but now it is spectacular! In fact it's probably the best there is! I asked the chef about it and he explained their involved cooking method which I'd never heard of but please keep doing it! I can't wait to have it again! “We used Firefly for drop-off catering services for our microwedding in 2025. It started with a tasting at their home where the food was incredible. There were some tweaks we asked them to make which were all made by wedding day. They were also very open to making the changes we asked for from the original menu. Even if something is not listed on their online menu, they are willing to work with you to see if it's something they can do. The execution day of was slightly off schedule but everything was ready by reception time and we were none the wiser until after the wedding thanks to our coordinator. The meal was one of the highlights of the night and our guests still rave about the food today!“
