“My first time visiting this establishment was during week one of a 21 day fast. With it being my first time and only eating fruits and vegetables, I felt extremely supported when this beautifully spirited lady that smiled with her heart patiently listened as I carefully chose my base and toppings then called my fast out by name (the Daniel fast) and wished me luck before I left.

I haven't felt this way about an eating establishment, or a stranger in a very long time. So timely.

“This location is always clean and expedites orders efficiently. The Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chip Cookie is my favorite and should be the “resident” cookie. The brownie is average in my opinion. The Milk Chocolate is my back up to the Semi-Sweet Chocolate and satisfies the chocolate urge just the same. The Double Fudge Brownie is fudge overboard you’ll need ice cold milk or ice cream to ground this chocolatey sensation. However, for less intense fudge try the galaxy brownie cookie. The Pink Velvet Cake Cookie has a “velvety” texture indeed. However, I couldn’t discern the taste profile for the Pink Velvet Cake Cookie.”

“I took my best friend for a belated birthday brunch this week. We were both completely blown away! The decor was beautiful, the greeter was warm and friendly. Our server was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Several other servers stopped by to check on us as well. The food came quickly and it was amazing. The Chicken and Waffles were superb. The catfish and grits were so good, I actually started liking catfish! The collards and mac n cheese are what dreams are made of. I'm serious, these are the best around. Every detail in this new restaurant has been thoughtfully worked out, down to the separate lidded cups juicy leftover. The cups fit perfectly inside the takeout containers. What a wonderful addition to the Lawrenceville food scene. I only wish they had opened in Buford! However, I will be back, and I'm bringing friends!”

“Outstanding Food and Overall Experience! - Reservation for 8 to celebrate my youngest daughter's birthday (4:30 on a Friday). We almost changed our mind, because we learned my oldest daughter and her hubby had a bad experience at this restaurant in 2021. So glad we gave it another chance. Restaurant is under new management, and it shows! From the greeters at the door with smiles making a first impression, to a personable, attentive server (LeLe), excellent food and engagement by the manager being visible and interacting with guests - it was well worth our time. Total enjoyment! Our group had the snapper, salmon, shrimp & grits, catfish and one vegetarian who made a meal from the sides. Food was beautifully plated and presented and everything was hot & fresh, well seasoned and tasted great. Generous portions too. We also had the bourbon glazed brussels, skillet cornbread and the sticky ribs as appetizers. HIGHLY recommend the brussels and the ribs!! It was the first day testing the ribs, so you may have to ask for them, if they're not on the menu yet. Appreciated the free birthday dessert! If you had a previous bad experience over the last couple of years, you may want to try again. The new manager has the right attitude and a good vision for setting a new standard for The Parkside District. Keep it up! We will definitely visit again. We are glad to recommend the restaurant!”

Trashcan overflowing and piling into the floor. Placed my order for ham & eggs. Eggs ordered over medium. Came out so burned you could've used them to replace a tire! Sent them back. They brought scrambled eggs. Not what I ordered. If I wanted rubber eggs I would've gone to McDonald's! I will go back one time to tell my regular waitresses what happened... well maybe...”

The shop also sells one of the crispiest banh xeo and banh khot that I've had outside of Vietnam.

“I have been living in this area for 23 + years. This restaurant used to be Sophia's, if I'm not mistaken because I was there once & never went back. Recently I noticed the billboard along route 316 advertising Vintage Home Kitchen. I decided to give a try. I dine out for most of my meals so I know if a place is worth returning. I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit & didn't realize that it was buffet style, which is a "red flag" for me. The owners have done an excellent job with this type of service. The food is fresh & delicious, the the waitress & waiters do not pester you but all you have to do is look their way & they will be there if you need something. It is very resonantly priced, I am getting to be a familiar face. Also its very close to my house, I couldn't be happier. Give it a try people, you will not be disappointed!!”

“I was very pleased with my grab-and-go meal from #Popeyes last evening. There was no line, and barely a wait around 7:30pm. They were short-staffed, but the lone cashier was kind and as patient/expeditious with customers/order prep as possible. After my family placed our order, the manager decided to lock the door inside, to prevent dining within and move to drive-through only operation. I thought that was a good call, and just in time to prevent overwhelming the workers. My shrimp, biscuit, red beans & rice and apple pie were all hot, freshly made and tasty. My husband liked his spicy chicken sandwich as well. 👏👏👏 I hope they can gain some workers and keep up the good food and service there over time.”

“The food was amazing. I got the jerk wings and Shrimp fried rice but when my food came they gave me the oxtails fried rice! It was good after searching for the shrimp…I asked our waitress what I ordered and the cook messed up my order. The owner made sure it was corrected. My boyfriend got the oxtail nachos appetizer and catfish with garlic mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese! He loves catfish and he loved it here! A hidden gem and we will be returning! No pics but the fried rice was HUGE!”

“Ok, I do not drink coffee; however I will visit a coffee shop that has variety. I had know idea they sell Strawberry Lemonade with Boba Bubbles!!! They won me over. So I could not wait until this location opened near me. I downloaded their app. Set up an account. I was rewarded with a free Medium Drink!! Now that's what I'm talking about. I went in the morning around 10:00. It was not too crowded, because since they opened the line has been very long. It is a drive-thru and walk-up store. So no inside sitting.
However, the set-up of this place community friendly. I like the walk-up window and the drive-thru is great.
Now they need to add some benches and area for sitting, in case you want to chill there. Starbucks, watch out!”

“Used Eagles Landing to cater our daughter’s wedding and it was simply amazing. Judy is so easy to work, great communication and very accommodating. They offered more food for much less than any other caterer! The staff that worked the event were kind, helpful and personable. Heard so many compliments about the food and staff. Would definitely hire them again! Thank you Judy and the entire staff!”

“My go-to spot for fried chicken and fish! The batter is a perfect thickness, it’s got that crunch but not cutting up your mouth. Seasoning is well balanced and the portions are generous for the price. I’ve had dreams about this food, it’s really that good!”

“It was my 3rd visit today! I had Curry goat, rice & beans. Loved the steamed cabbage. The spice ratio was perfect. The plantains were delicious unlike most Jamaican restaurants. Also conveniently located only 3 miles from my home. I will certainly recommend to friends and family.”
