“If you like sports and great food. And a bar to boot. Then this is your place for sure. They have a 16 foot TV over the bar 🍻. My server was a girl named Lucy and she was awesome. She was attentive to my drink and new the menu and all it's options. She even changed the tv to the game I wanted to watch which made for a very enjoyable dinner with my friends!! Great food. Great bar. Amazing experience all around!!“

“Our DFCS Retiree's monthly gathering visited in April. We had a rather long wait between placing order and receiving food. Orders were incorrect (I ordered a Goose burger plate with Onion Rings and got Fries instead. Rings were eventually received). Food was good, service a bit slack. I guess large parties (12) are not the norm. Feel ambivalent about returning.“

“Usually have pretty spot on order so I never check my food. Today I had no veggies in my vegetable fried rice… both order were just rice… there is no way to report when the order is wrong on the website or app either which is annoying. My fault for not checking my food but I will start checking for now on.“

“If I ever find myself in downtown Macon, Famous Mike's will definitely be on my radar. Our usual breakfast stop is there, mainly because we can't resist the allure of their cheese grits and French toast. During our last visit, Mike Seekins, the owner and chief, took the time to personally come out and chat with us, even offering a couple of insights into the secrets behind his delicious cheese grits. Of course, he's not spilling the entire recipe, just a tip or two. What adds to the charm of Famous Mike's is not just the fantastic food but the super-friendly staff and the wonderful atmosphere they've cultivated. If you decide to drop by, be sure to mention that Patty and Wayne recommended the spot. It's always a pleasure to share our positive experiences, and I'm confident others will enjoy the warmth and delicious offerings at Famous Mike's just as much as we do!😁“

Kid-friendliness: They seem to be kid friendly but when I went there it was like night time and I went through the drive thru and it was very fast quick

“I stopped by Applebee’s Grill + Bar recently for a laid‑back dinner, and the experience was exactly what I hoped: casual, comfortable, and with familiar food that hits the spot without needing fuss. The interior is unpretentious — warm lighting, simple décor, booths and tables that make for easy conversation. There’s a bar area if you feel like a drink, but mostly it’s a “come‑as‑you‑are” kind of vibe, good for families, friends, or just chilling solo.
I went for a burger and ribs combo, with a side of fries and maybe a casual drink on the side. The burger was juicy enough, the ribs saucy and satisfying, and the sides — fries and coleslaw — did their job without trying too hard. Nothing felt overly fancy or pretentious; it was just straightforward comfort food. Portions were decent, and I left feeling full but not overly stuffed.
Service was friendly and easygoing. The staff checked in now and then without hovering — just enough to make sure drinks stayed filled and we had what we needed. The pace was relaxed, which worked well since the place wasn’t jam‑packed, but even if it were, Applebee’s tends to lean into that “comfortable restaurant” energy rather than rushed service.
All in all, Applebee’s Grill + Bar makes for a good “safe bet.” Whether you’re out with family, grabbing dinner with friends, or just want something familiar and no‑fuss, it delivers what you expect. It doesn’t try to redefine “dining” — but sometimes, you don’t need that. You just need good comfort food and a chill evening.“

“Nice clean updated indoor dining room. The shakes are the bomb. The chicken sandwich is really good and the price for what you get is crazy cheap. I got the chicken burger and added bacon, a corndog, fries and a shake it was around 10$. Crazy!!! The guy at the front was so nice. The food came out fast. Get the peanut butter fudge shake. Yum!“

“Will was our server and I highly suggest that you special request him he is the best I even called the manager to let him know how wonderful I thought Will was and how great the food was. I got the hamburger on rye with onion and I also got extra crispy onion rings and they were extra crispy with sour cream. The food was excellent the service was excellent and so was the atmosphere I highly recommend that you try them“
