It was closed for Memorial Day weekend. Lost a lot of business. Golf course and Lodge was busy. We had to travel to eat. May want to reconsider not having food available for overnight guests. ??

I recently stayed one night at the Little Ocmulgee Lodge in McRae while in the area for business. When it comes to hotel there are not a lot of options in the McRae-Helena area and usually you have to stay 45 mins away. But I decided to try the Little Ocmulgee lodge, and was very pleasantly surprised by my stay. We usually camp here when heading to the mountains, but due to weather we spent the night in a lodge room. It was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the small fridge for our cold camping supplies. It was nice to just walk to the grill for dinner. The food was good and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet was okay but I think a bit overpriced. We look forward to staying again.
