Just went for my first time at Buckalew's. The food is delicious! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and busy but we were able to sit, relax, and chat for a while. My baby had his first high chair experience so he liked it, too!
Very nice and friendly employees. Buckalew’s is very generous with portion sizes. Pork is excellent, Brunswick stew is very good as is the Mac and cheese. I’ve never left the place hungry. Don’t really care for the background music. We will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone. It’s one of the few places around open on Monday.Parking: Limited free parking in front of restaurant.

First time eating at this restaurant due to it being recommended by friends. We loved everything except the smoked beef brisket & unfortunately it was the reason we came it was very dry, hard & bland. Not what we expected. Other then that the portion sizes were great!
