Southern has been an IPA powerhouse since it first opened in Athens. The Monroe location stays true to that. There's solid variety in a great spot, but lagers and IPAs are their real strength. You won't regret the trip.
This is on our "MUST VISIT" list when we visit family in the area. These folks make OUTSTANDING beer! Our favorites are their dark beers, especially the varieties that they make during their annual HOOTENANNY in early December.... Nite Nite Before Christmas and Coconut Moon Eyes are two of our favorites.Highly recommend getting a flight (or two) to taste several of their offerings. They seem to do every style very well! I typically don't like sours, but I love their Red & Black....read full review

This was a great little tap room. You can order tacos or wings at the close by restaurants and they w us lol bring them to you. Helpful friendly staff and great convos. Also liked the beer. I will be back.
