“We loved it here so much we came back twice in a 3 day period. So many great menu options. The view on the lake is beautiful. Delicious food. Easily enjoy amazing weather with the deck/patio style seating. Really great all around.
Only complaint is we had a hard time getting drink refills. And it took a long time to be able to put an order in for our food. Waitresses just seemed to disappear for bits at a time but were good when they were around.
Definitely highly recommend the deep fried green tomatoes!!! They were a family favorite for sure. Honestly all of the food we got everyone loved. It seems you can’t go wrong here.“

“This was our first time at Cotton Calf Kitchen and we weren't disappointed. First of all, our server Lauren T. was one of the best servers we have ever been served by at any restaurant. The attention to detail was impeccable. The food presentation from the salad to the steaks was on point. We are moving to the area and this is a staple of why we are moving to the community. “We wound up at FishTales today because the parking lot at PigTales was too small to accommodate my Brother-in-laws' RV. No big deal, they are not too far apart. Our taste buds were set on the Fishtales basket (Fried Grouper and fries) and once again, it was delicious. The portion is large enough that my wife and I split it.Our server today was Hannah and she couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating. When I placed our order, I asked for extra tarter (dill) sauce and when we got our food, we had two extra sauces. I usually have to ask a 2nd time. Great attention to detail. We sat out on the patio under a tiki hut umbrella with a great view of the lake. A most enjoyable lunch! Thanks Hannah and FishTales!“

“Jimmie we drove 1 hour and 30 minutes when I tell u the food is everything. The ribs are delicious along with all the sides. The chicken oh lord so good. “My wife and I had lunch at Vinnys today 4/9/2025. This was our second time dinning there and we were very pleased with the food, price and the great service. Our server was Ellie and the service was prompt and friendly. The dishes were picked up the water glasses were refilled and we had a nice conversation on our trips to Europe. What more could you ask for? We will return in the very near future.“

“I just moved to Buford in July, I have stopped here a few times. I was not expecting to fall in love with this place, their food is spectacular, Today I ordered the catfish plate, I was surprised when I saw the plate because I was not expecting the amount I was given for $15. I was expecting a small piece of fish and a handful of fries, to be given a very large piece of fish and a satisfying portion of fries, it was fresh and cooked to perfection. The Waitress who served me was very friendly and nice to talk to. I will definitely be coming back here to try more of the things on their menu!!!“

“Went here for breakfast a few weeks ago. The atmosphere was pretty chill for a late morning. Ordered plate of biscuits and gravy with red hot sausage and an orange juice. The gravy was smooth and warm with the red hot giving a good amount of spice. Very curious to see what else was offered, I returned a few days later to get a burger to go as is advertised on their sign up front. The burger was surprisingly juicy and delicious. What even more surprising was learning that Mama Ruth’s has been around since 1975! With a diverse menu and friendly customer service, I can see why it has continued to thrive.“

“I live in Flowery Branch but recently took over Auto Fitness in Gainesville and I have been looking for a place just like Sweet Magnolia's. When my daughter visited me for lunch I thought we would try it out and I am so glad that we did. The minute we walked in I thought the place looked great and felt so clean. Made it to the counter and was told that it was family owned an everything was made fresh. We were made aware of the specials, the bread and the soup of the day. I am a Rueben sandwich nut and it's so hard to find a really good, authentic one and they nailed it. Fresh corned beef the right amount of sauerkraut and the thousand island was perfect. My daughter got the Cuban and it was also made to perfection. I understand the importance of word of mouth and reviews and if you haven't been to Sweet Magnolia's you've got to visit, you won't be disappointed. Now that I have found them, it will be my go to when I am craving something healthy (great salad menu) or just a fresh sandwich. Oh, the potato salad was so fresh and great as well. Thanks to this great place for changing the way I will be experiencing lunch, I'll be bringing members of my team here weekly as a reward for their work. Looking forward to coming back. “Had to take my wife to the doctors in Oakwood. Stopped here for a quick lunch. The shrimp fried rice was the best I ever had. Wife had pork fried rice and said it was very good. Washed it down with a Thai iced tea. Excellent! Got to go back to doctors in three weeks, I know where I'll be eating lunch.“
