Maple Street Biscuit Company on Barrett is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever visited, and it deserves every bit of recognition it gets. From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed with warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and a level of customer service that is rare to find nowadays. The staff here are not only friendly but also attentive, professional, and truly make you feel like you’re part of their family.

The atmosphere inside is just as inviting — clean, comfortable, and filled with positive energy. Whether you’re grabbing a quick breakfast, sitting down for brunch, or just stopping in for a coffee, this location makes the experience something special.

The food? Absolutely incredible. The biscuits are fresh, fluffy, and cooked to perfection, paired with flavors that are both comforting and memorable. Every bite feels like it’s made with love and care, and you can taste the quality in everything that comes out of the kitchen.

What stood out the most to me, though, was the way the staff went above and beyond to make sure my visit was perfect. That kind of service is what keeps people coming back. As someone who values respect and community, I can’t thank them enough for the way they treat their guests.

“All these stars are for Gary. We came in with a big table, with lots of kids to see their grandparents off on their trip, and Gary was kind and patient. He was knowledgeable about the menu, and served us with a smile. He was also funny and professional. He brought us everything we needed to enjoy our meal: extra salsa for an omelet, and bacon extra crispy. Refills were prompt too. If I could give Gary 10 stars I would. No, 11 stars, because Gary himself is a shining STAR.“

“Awesome visit on a Sunday afternoon to this Waffle House location. We were greeted upon entering. Our server, Charlie, was extremely kind and helpful. He was patient and attentive. Our order came exactly as requested and we always had our cups filled. The food was very good, fresh and made exactly to order. “Had the Easter brunch with complimentary mimosa. $75.00 per person drinks extra. The three of us enjoyed our time. I made reservations nine days prior with asking for outdoor seating. When we arrived weather was good but they were not seating outside. Disappointed not to have outside seating. Nice buffet but the cake was previously frozen and apple pie not homemade. The lemon petite tart was not made with fresh lemon. Probably frozen previously too. The ice cream bar had only vanilla and cool whip topping. The strawberry and chocolate syrups were flavored. For the price charged a couple of real signature desserts would have been great. The macaroni was great. The salmon, chicken and beef were good. The ham was not a a good choice and was not at a carving station as described when I asked about the buffet. Fruit was good. Since this is the first since Covid 19 I’ll give for credit for a nice presentation.

“I decided to do a Thanksgiving Friday late lunch, and was not disappointed. Requested their great server, Tayah, & she remembered my previous visit's order, & it was better than ever!! The Chicken Fajita omelet with a side of yummy pancakes is gourmet heaven. It is loaded with grilled chicken bites, inside & out, with fire roasted poblano & red peppers, Cheddar cheese, & onions, served with little cups of sour cream & salsa on the side. You will need extra cups, the omelet is so big. Mr. Ernest is the Omelet Garu, ask for him, if you get an omelet. Tayah checked on me through out the meal, even brought a hot pot of fresh coffee to replace my initial pot! Randy and Tony have kept the " "bestest" servers ; which are now attracting regulars and families... I spoke to two, & they both loved this location & the caring friendly staff. Randy and Tony always come to say hello. I'll be back. They rate 10 stars!!!!“

“The food here was really good. Although it was super crowded, they were able to get us in really quickly. I was meeting family for a quick bite and I guess I didn't expect it to be so crowded on a Saturday morning. The food was tasty and as expected. However the best thing of all was the service and cleanliness. These ladies and guys did a great job of keeping everybody moving in and out and keeping the tables clear and bussed and the floors clear of any debris despite having so many people moving in and out of it. I remember when they first opened. I ordered a rooty tooty fresh and fruity and underneath all of that fresh and fruity rooty tooty was an uncooked stack of pancakes. The manager was super nice but my taste for this place was severely soured. I've been back several times since then over the years and they've gotten so much better. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely come again. It's a great family spot for a quick bite to eat. The menu has lots of options whether you want breakfast lunch or dinner and plenty of options for the kids. This location is great very visible and the parking lot has quite a bit of good parking.

“My friend, fiancee, and I stopped here to wait out a thunderstorm and just be somewhere warm that wasn't my cramped car. The two staff members working there originally told us that they're only doing to-go orders but they let us stay to just wait things out. A few minutes in they asked if we'd like anything to drink, and a little after that they asked what food we'd like to eat and I'm just very grateful for how they treated me and my companions during a time of anxiety for us. D and Naiyah (if I misspelled your names I'm so sorry) are so kind, my companions and I will never forget the kindness they showed us today.

“Went in on Thanksgiving morning for a nice breakfast and we found a booth near a window. A minute or two later the server came and took our drinks (Decaf coffee, Sprite, and Coca-Cola) as well as our order (Texas Chicken Melt, two hash browns, and a kids waffle with bacon). The place was well decorated and very clean. When our food came a couple minutes later it looked all freshly made and hot. Overall the atmosphere was fantastic and decorated, the food fresh and hot, and the service was impeccable. All for about $32 for three people.

Had I not cut his sandwich in half he would have eaten the pill and after researching, I found out that was a muscle relaxer. I am very very upset That someone had the audacity to be taking medication while they were preparing my meal.“

“On a road trip form NJ to MS. Stopped in to get some coffee. The young women serving were super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. I would definitely stop again if I were in the area.“

“IHOP has really stepped it up. Used to not be one of my favorites but we happened to be in the area so we popped in. Even though the parking lot was packed, we only waited a few minutes for our table. The waitress immediately greeted us and served our drinks. It was a busy Saturday morning so it took a little while to get the food but not terribly long. Honestly, this was the best food I had had there. Not sure if they made changes to the way they prepare the eggs but they were really good this time and I normally skip those. We got the diced potatoes instead of the hash browns and they were so good! My son chose a burger and he ate every bite. It was big and he really enjoyed it. My daughter got the steak bites and eggs. The steak was cooked in so much butter that it made a lake on her plate. That was probably our only complaint.“

“One of the better IHOP’s I have been to in the state. I’ve been to this location on numerous occasions and now I only ask for Misti. We came in for my daughter’s bday and waited almost 35min at a table and not a single server came up to us. Then Misti came along, moved us to one of her tables and took care of us. She’s one of those people who serving is much more than just a job for her but a love language. I’ve had her multiple times now and each time she makes us feel like family. She’s so hardworking and always goes above and beyond for you. She’s kind and speaks life into you as she is serving you. My kids love her, I love her and she’s definitely the reason I keep coming back to this location specifically. I can’t thank her enough for her energy and being a positive light in this world. And of course the food was good too lol.“
