About LongHorn Steakhouse

Based on recent reviews, Longhorn Steakhouse is a new restaurant in town with friendly staff and great food, though it is still in a learning curve. The steaks and sides are delicious, with specific meals like the spicy chicken bites being very good. However, the fried shrimp and onion petals were extremely salty. Some steaks came out undercooked or overcooked, with one medium strip arriving well done the first time and medium-rare the second. There were also issues with a filet having a silver tendon and a piece of a plastic lid found under food. Service can be slow, with delays on drink refills, paying the bill, and long waits for food even with call-ahead seating. Several flies were noted around tables. Despite these problems, the spinach dip was fantastic, and the server was often fantastic and attentive. The restaurant can be packed but moves quickly. Some guests plan to wait a few months before returning, hoping the location gets up to speed. Overall, the food is great, but the service and consistency need improvement.
