“Took my wife and daughter here for breakfast on Easter morning 2024 since we were from out of town. A gentleman we sat next to at the bar paid for our meal when leaving saying He is Risen!Thank you to this man who said he worked for Catoosa county. It was a very nice gesture from a stranger.Also the staff was dressed in bright Easter colors and in a cheerful mood. Since our meal had been paid for, we gave our waitress the amount we would have had to pay for our meal.“

“My daughter and husband live in Ringgold, so I come from California every few months to spend time with my grandbabies. We have tried all the "flashy" and "kitchy" restaurants in Chatt, but little did we know that the BEST food is right here in downtown Ringgold! I have long been a fan of real down-home cooking and haven't really enjoyed that authentic flavor made from scratch with fresh ingredients since my grandmother passed in 1995. Effie's ambience is like that of a small-town diner, as it should be. The menu is varied yet traditional American family favorites like meatloaf, chicken-fried, beef tips, etc, plus a slew of sandwiches and vegetable sides. We each ordered something different, and we each were thrilled with our selections. There is no mistaking home-made freshness! Our server was Sherry and she was delightful, attentive, and full of info about the food and the restaurant's namesake. What a wonderful meal! I will be heading back for the catfish and a whole lot of coleslaw on Wednesday.“

“Our waitress was the freaking best. A blonde woman, really pretty eye, I don’tRemember her name, anyway. Give that woman a raise. She came buy about 5 mins after giving us our sweet tea and said, hey y’all I tasted that tea and it don’t taste right to me (she wasn’t lying, but we weren’t gonna say nothing) went and tasted the tea from another pot, came back with fresh great tasting tea. Really shocked me that she did that. She came by multiple times checking on us. Really impeccable service. Now The food was ok, I got the hamburger steak, brown gravy, mashed taters with brown gravy, and fried okra. It was good but nothing to brag about. Karaoke was nice, of course I was to chicken to participate, atmosphere was great. The service alone would impel me to return.“
