“I was doordashing, stopped in to pick up the order, never been to this location before. The manager was at the door and politely opened the door for me and automatically greeted me and was so sweet! He could read me quick and showed me where to pick up the order and really impressed me. If I had not already gotten a new job I would have asked for his name and let him know I would apply. I would work for him in a Heart beat! When complimenting to another worker she seemed very proud of her manager and was very happy to hear my review. That told me this man knows how to run a business, how to treat his employees and still be amazing! Keep up the awesome work!!“

“Definitely the best buy in town for fast food. Their dinners are pretty good ($6.99!!!), the burgers are excellent. Not 5 Guys good, but then they're less than half the price. The only place i go for quick burgers other than Cookout.“

“We visited the area for the first time since this gem opened. We had such an enjoyable experience and meal at the chef’s counter Friday night that we sat there again for Sunday brunch. We really enjoyed the staff and how committed and excited they are to put really great food out of the kitchen. We will definitely come back when we visit the area!“

“A brunch all day restaurant is the perfect addition to the southside. I walk here, but there is a nice free parking lot adjacent. The bagels are the real deal, the tots are delicious, great options for everyone. I have loved everything I’ve tried. So far, my favorites: the French toast, the avocado toast with egg, and I love their thin crust pizza. Drinks, coffee drinks, great service - all the things that make me happy!“

“First experience here ever very eye opening experience here tonight. I went in slightly tipsy and was literally given the worst service I've ever received in my entire almost 37 yrs of life. walked up to a familiar face and realized he was cut off. not sure of whatever happened prior to me walking in- started trying to joke with the bartender about awe why? just being in a playful mood because I just had a drink at home because I had a terrible day and my brother wanted to be nice and try to cheer me up by bringing me out for a drink. The bartender immediately shut down me down and gave me and immediate attitude I continued to try to get him to lighten up but his mood just kept getting worse. He however brought me my vodka and cranberry I ordered- I asked him why he was having a bad day and why he hated his job so much? just trying to get him to chill out- still extremely rude. A few more words were exchanged none of which were friendly he ripped said drink from my hand and asked me to leave however at one point because of said terrible day and him just being a dick and maybe a touch of the alcohol I did start to tear up and he just stood there with a cocky look on his face-laughing- whatever cool. However before I left I found out it was the owner. Steve Durkee- little miserable looking fella. Not sure why someone so miserable would be in such a personable career role.. you own a bar but have never dealt with someone drunk having a bad day? Bartenders are usually friendly and aim to make people feel better not like complete trash. Possible career change sooner than later, hopefully?“

“First time back to J Alexander's in a long time for no reason. A good experience with attentive service. The seared tuna was excellent and the prime rib was tasty. Meatball appetizer was ok, a bit $$ for what they are. I'm spoiled by my meatballs no restaurant can beat. All in all a good experience.“

“We were passing through Chattanooga And we googled restaurants near me with good ratings. We were staying at Riverview Mountain Inn, and decided to go there. I’ll start off with Vicky and Steve were amazing. They gave us a couple of samples to try before we even actually ordered. I got the homemade chicken salad and brussels sprouts with balsamic..amazing! We also got mahi fish tacos with french fries well done and coleslaw and both entrées were absolutely amazing. Atmosphere was very quaint, very personable. We are from small towns in Missouri and we feel the owners gave us that Hometown feeling….. We would highly recommend this place if you’re passing through from anywhere, but especially if you’re staying at Riverview Mountain Inn. “We came to Chattanooga for my husband’s birthday. I wanted to treat him to a delicious meal. This is the second time I have personally ate firebirds and both times the steak has been absolutely amazing. My only complaint is that I wish all meals came with two sides instead of just one. Other than that when I say the steak was beyond amazing we even heated outlets over the next day in a microwave and they were still delicious. If you want an amazing steak give this place a try you will NOT be disappointed“

The aesthetic of the place was wonderful and people from all walks of life gathered there as if they, too, knew about the magic in the food. 12/10 will absolutely come back on my next visit to Chattanooga.“

“We love this restuarant and it’s our go-to place for every milestone moments but this review is about a bad experience we had today with our lunch order. We ordered a take out for my husband’s birthday and when we came back home we found one entree is missing. On calling back the restaurant , we explained in details what’s missing and requested them to keep the item ready as we wanted to eat together as a family before everything becomes cold. However when my husband reached the restaurant he was told that they didn’t believe us and then the server went to talk to the chef. After that she was convinced that the issue was on their side and took another 20 mins to give the food. This is outrageous and honestly feels borderline racist. She could’ve checked with the chef before we went back. We love this restaurant but this has left a very bad impression on us“

We lucked up with no reservation and there was one table open in the bar/lounge area. Everything was incredible. VERY rarely am I impressed with a dinning experience in all ways.

“I went there today right before they closed so we got the seafood gumbo pretty much all they had left. It was extremely good. Would definitely go back again. Would like to try some other things. I would give it a 10 out of 10 for what I ate.“

“I stopped by at the Chattanooga Market today and had the Philly cheesesteak fries based on Chef Chasity’s recommendation. I am always nervous to order cheesesteak, French dips, etc. because I really do not like fatty meat and so many places do not take the time to scrap that part. I know some people like it that way, but not me. The Philly Cheesesteak fries were delicious! I almost chose the chicken & bacon fries. So glad I didn’t!! Will definitely be visiting Eastgate Mall to try more of the menu. Hoping she can change my mind about seafood in Chattanooga, as I am quite picky about that as well!“
