“I have to give a big shoutout to Mrs. Mary at the IHOP on Highway 138 in Riverdale. She is the heart and soul of that place! From the moment you walk in, she greets you with warmth, kindness, and true Southern hospitality. Mrs. Mary is not only professional and attentive, but she also makes every guest feel like family.

You can tell she loves what she does—she’s always smiling, checking in, and making sure everything is just right. It's rare to find someone who brings that level of dedication, grace, and genuine care to their work. She made my visit memorable, and I’ll definitely be back because of her.

“Visited this past weekend and everything was delicious. I had the creamy cat grilled. The grits were so creamy! Made with love ❤️ the fish was nicely seasoned and not overly so. We also had fried green tomatoes and fried donuts that reminded you of beignets. I’ll definitely be back! The bartender was on his job too! My Bellini did everything it was meant to do!“

I don’t think the kitchen has the right kitchen fan to circumvent the smoke. The door was open to let some of the smoke out and it was cold that day. The server was sweet and attentive but she we had to get our order corrected twice. My grits were cold and my fish was room temp but it was still good. I only stopped by here because I had a taste for some cheese grits. And bacon 🥓 😋. The crew there was very helpful and assisted me in my order as others were also coming in. Once my order was completed I paid and I just sat in my car 🚗 and yessssss I enjoyed my meal. “Wednesday, Dec. 31 Petyon did a wonderful job welcoming New Years Eve rush after 9 pm while handling take out customers. The cook Ricky did outstanding job serving over 20 customers at one time in hour. Through the slight delay cause we all arrive right behind each other. Manager Yasmine worked very hard assisting every customer personally to make sure we was all alright. Though I had one thing missing they were so apologizing and mad sure I was taken care of the next day. I was glad to be able go in the next day to give my respect especially let the cook know he did an amazing job under the circumstances. These 3 made my wait very pleasant...“

“After receiving no service at Three Dollar Café, my husband and I decided to go to IHOP, and we are so glad we did. The restaurant was packed, which was completely understandable on Christmas night, but the service was superb from start to finish.

Despite the holiday rush, we were seated immediately upon entering. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, positive, and genuinely welcoming. We had visited this location just last week and received excellent service then as well, so tonight simply confirmed the consistency of their hospitality.

Even with the holiday crowd, the team worked with energy and professionalism. No one appeared tired or overwhelmed. The manager deserves recognition, and the servers and cooks truly delivered. We spent over $127.00 during this visit. We also took togo meals to our children. My husband left a $25.00 tip for our server, a very kind young man who took great care of us.

Although the McDonough location on Regency is closer to our home, we will absolutely continue considering this location because of the outstanding service we’ve received.

Kudos to the entire IHOP team at this location for making a busy Christmas night feel pleasant and well‑managed.

“I get breakfast from this location at least twice each week. On my most recent visit I was told they did not have any egg whites. I was bummed. Before I could get over the shock, regroup & choose another menu option Kumba (cook) told the cashier she could make it happen for me.

We are so quick to give a review on bad service or talk about what someone did or didn't do but this review is different. Thank you Kumba for going above & beyond. Thank you IHOP for good management/leadership. It's a trickle down effect.

“We got there on a Saturday morning. We were able to seat immediately, and we had the best waiter ever. His name was Riley, and he was so nice. He took good care of us. “I wanted banana pancakes and they had ran out of bananas. The waitress, Zoey, told me the unfortunate news, but I was ok. I thought they may not have th ice cream to go it’s them anyway. I was craving those pancakes, since I had given my order to a close friend a few weeks prior while visiting Chicago.
Zoey’s energy was so positive at 6 am so I was ok with it and just enjoyed my coffee….

Our second visit was completely different. Everyone very friendly but waited on food a long time. Order was wrong and when remade was still not right. The other person in my party had cold food..probably due to waiting on the rest of the meal. Our server may have been slightly new but not sure.“
