“Quaint old-timey hardware store changed into a restaurant. Cool decorations. It is a bit noisy because of the reflective wall treatments. Friendly staff, quick service even though busy.Definitely recommend the strawberry cobbler!Parking: Free Street parking readily available. Not the frustrating paid parking vendor in Royston”
“Owner an family are friendly an the bisquit are big an delicious. Very generous amounts of bacon, eggs, ham etc on each bisquit. Only negative is the price.Parking: Plentiful parkingKid-friendliness: They give toysWheelchair accessibility: Have ramps for wc acess”
“Enjoyed the Food but nothing for my husband to eat tho they did try to accommodate but the chicken was to tough to eat so he only had french fries which isn't good for a diabetic! So please put Hamburgers on your meno so we can keep coming... Also the fish smell when you walk in is horrific so maybe an air freshener at the door tho I know your specialty is Sushi but it wasn't a very good first Impression of Fishy smell...”
“I like this place. It's a small-town restaurant. I always get great service and the food always comes out right. Waiters are always friendly. The only flaw I can find is the salsa is reminiscent of marinara sauce.Kid-friendliness: It's a safe area.”
“After 3 years of driving by this place I finally stopped in today .We ordered a pork bbq plate and a beef brisket plate. The sides we chose were loaded baked potatoes, slaw ,and stew which were all very good. The pulled pork was adequate and average. Not bad but not great.. The 3 table sauces were ok but lacked distinct variation of flavors.. I had read many reviews of the delicious brisket served here . I've cooked 500 + briskets but today I 'm positive I was served bland roast beef. No smoke,no bark,no nothing A disappointment but it was edible. With the cost of brisket these days it is difficult for restaurants to keep on the menu. Keri Ann ,our server ,was very pleasant and attentive. We will certainly dine here again.”
“I know what you’re thinking, “the only restaurant open late…they must not care about the quality or food…”. No, you’re wrong. Well, maybe you aren’t, but I was. This joint is great. The staff is attentive, food is good, and the atmosphere and patrons are friendly and happy. Great little gem. Worth stopping in to sample different Mexican dishes.”
“This is a good, solid and friendly "hometown diner" type of restaurant. We were happy to find this spot and have returned a few times. Would gladly recommend this restaurant to any hungry traveler in the Royston region.”
“The place is so good for eating that there is always a crowd with a long line. It is a smaller buffet but it packs a big punch on the tummy, yum yum. The wait staff was very pleasant and the customers were cordial to each other. We'll be back that's for sure even though it's 45 mi one way, it's worth it. Wheelchair accessibility is a little crowded in the line but otherwise it's all right. People were very courteous and helpful. Make room for the stranger at your table and share the space when needed.Parking: Don't take up a double space because a lot of cars are going to be here shortly and everybody needs a chance to eat. If y'all alternate driving into or backing into a parking spot it'll make it easier for access. 3 ft spacing is plenty.Wheelchair accessibility: If you see a van with handicap stickers give it a wide girth. There is no brakes on electric wheelchairs so beware, 4 ft distance should be your minimum. These wheelchairs weigh almost 500 lb by themselves without a person in them their foot crushers!”
“Very well stocked with a wide variety of baked goods as well as spices, gravy mixes, jellies, European butters and more. The low prices are amazing! Store is clean and well organized. Customer service is exceptional. I will return again and again.”
“Amazing portions, decent staff, good food! I got the popcorn shrimp plate and it was LOADED I couldn’t even hold it with one hand!! I was able to eat on it all day from lunch time to dinner.”
“Food is always very good here, Dining room & restrooms always clean. Fast, friendly service from all employees except the older, heavy set man with gray hair that wears a cap - he's been a little rude on two occasions so now I always hope he's not there when we go. Four stars on service because of him. Everything & everyone else have been great experiences. Favorite Wendy's!”
“My order had been overlooked BUT the 2 ladies who were there jumped right in and began making it. It WAS A PRETTY BIG ORDER. They never complained it was AWESOME!!!!”
“The lady at the drive thru was very friendly and made sure our order was perfect. Food was fresh and delicious and the burgers were bigger than I expected so it was very filling!”
“Fan-flippin-tastic buffet!! The makeover was definitely worth it! The food was scrumptious, with MUCH to choose from, including Low Country Boil and crab legs!! WillDefinitely be back many times!! I haven’t seen a buffet like this without going to Athens or Anderson. Nice to have something this good, this close!!!”
“It was the first time in a long time that my order was perfect. The 2 lane thing gets lost on people, because they all want to be first, even though it's left, right, left right, not left, left, HONK!!!, when you take your rightful place in line.I guess balance must be achieved. Great food and service, with a smattering of selfish people, while I waited. Will have to go in and sit down next time to see how nice it is.Cheers!”
“In my professional driving career of 30+ years this lil bbq stop I have to say eas so out of this world I was smiling from ear to ear and so full I almost had to call a crane to lift me back into the truck.. and to the staff I felt like I was family the way you all served me and kept an eye to make sure I was down home happy!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!!! I will be back very soon!!!!!”
“Very nice decorations. We both ordered the Pollo Loco ($15.25) with Dos Equis ($4). The chicken was very tasty. Unfortunately, Haylie didn’t show much service or personality.”
“This was our first time eating here. Great southern food. The staff is extremely friendly and easy to navigate with the different choices. I had the vegetable plate and my husband had the grilled pork chops. Truly good food.Parking: There’s parking on both sides of the restaurantKid-friendliness: Yes kiddos are welcome here with a kid menuWheelchair accessibility: Even the bathroom is easy to navigate”
“The food is very very good. You get your monies worth. We love the drive thru window. It has a large menu that you can see before you get to the window. They have kids plates. The smell coming thru the window will make you hungry. We take our plates down to Victoria Bryant State Park and eat. Nature and good food. Who could ask for anything else?”
“This is our favorite Mexican food restaurant in Hartwell. You are always warmly greeted when you walk in the door. The employees all work together in order to ensure great service. The food is consistently great and the portion size is large. The margaritas are also awesome. What more could you want from a Mexican restaurant? They've also recently added some beautiful painted murals to the walls. There are plenty of booths and tables both in the dining room and in the bar area. They also have a room at the back for a larger group. Come in. You'll be glad you did.”
“Food was awesome but I seen my waitress once to place order and to charge me....manager was awesome food was on point but I guess the guy who attended me was busy with tables that had 6 or more...I was dining by ”
“Nice little place with plenty of seating they have a buffet here and also food you can order that truck parking and your reason to well here as well as cars and whatever else you bring... And they are very attentive to your needs of recommend coming here even the iced tea is good..”
“Yes. I WAS LATE FOR BREAKFAST.. a morning of fasting for lab work..But the kind folks at Carter's put a breakfast plate together for me and it was delicious . I will be back and gonna bring friends. Thank y'all so much ?”
“Doc's Bar in Canon. This place is the real thing. Free pool tables. Best barbeque in the South outback on Saturdays from 11 am to 8 pm. I was there last weekend and asked them who they were rooting for, Michigan or OSU, and they said they only care about the Dawgs. No disrespect to Southern Hart Brewing Company, but this is a real local bar, with great barbeque, pool tables and real genuine down to earth local folks and UGA fans.Doc’s Bar/Cheek’s Stew Life BBQ4195 GA-17, Canon, GA 30520https://maps.app.goo.gl/Q8k8dtddRCRYBsk69”
“Was following my GPS from Richard Russell park to Lawrenceville when I stopped in in search of a cold beer. Saw the big signs outside for "Krunchy chicken" and, not having lunch yet, checked it out. Asked the lady for a breast and an order of potato wedges, while I checked on the beer. No luck on the beer. Being in deep, rural, Georgia, probably the whole county was dry.Anyway paid only 6 bucks for a very large breast, and a big, fist-full of wedges, and was on my way. The chicken was tender and moist inside, and crispy-crunchy on the outside. Excellent! The potato wedges were also hot and lightly crispy , and seasoned perfectly.Couldn't stop eating them on the ride home. Highly recommend to all!”
“The folks currently on staff are Amazing! Candice is always friendly and helpful. Our delivery driver knows my dog by name and are always super careful of my mushroom allergy. ?”
“I went here a few nights ago and the customer ahead of me was rude and the girl behind the counter handled it very well, I would've asked him to leave. Also my blizzard was awesome! The brownie pieces were perfect and in every bite.”
“I drive around for a living so a good pitstop is not just a blessing but a necessity. You can only imagine my surprise when I drove past this brand new little jewel, and yes, they were open, and with a brand new clean bathroom! True, the dining room was closed to seating but just the joy of going inside, using the bathroom, washing my hands, placing my order, and getting to interact with the employees was a blessing. I asked the employees how long they've been open, about eight months, and the place was still sparking brand new with enjoyable customer service. And of course because of Valentine's Day, I had to get my next customer a dozen assorted heart shaped donuts. Success! Thank you Dunkin', for keeping me running!”
“WHAT A FIND in downtown Royston y’all! If you haven’t given this place a try you owe it to yourself to stop by. I was driving through and saw some very happy looking customers snacking on some pretty spectacular looking yummies so I HAD to make a pit stop. Boy am I glad I did. This place hits all the boxes for meClean, pleasant and inviting environment coupled with great fare and interesting decor. But honestly in this day and time of “no service” service, Holly was a breath of fresh air What a delight to meet someone so truly happy in their roleWhomever hired her…. Smart move. I will be back for both, your goodies and to see such friendly staff”
