Dickey's Barbecue Pit offers a variety of meals, including ribs, chopped brisket, pulled pork, and sides like mac and cheese, loaded baked potato casserole, and fried okra. The Westerner and the two meat plate are popular choices among customers. Recently, there have been positive changes at the restaurant, as new ownership has taken over. The staff is described as super friendly and engaging, creating a neat and clean environment. While some customers have experienced overcooked ribs and missing sides, many enjoy the tender meats paired with the sweet BBQ sauce. However, the roll served is noted to be hard and not enjoyable, and some sides might lack flavor. The fried okra has perfect breading but can be a bit salty. Creamed spinach, Brunswick stew, and onion tanglers remain well-liked options. In addition, customers appreciate the dedication of the staff, especially during harsh weather conditions, and many look forward to visiting Dickey's more often. The restaurant is praised for its good customer service, with employees like Brenden making a significant impact on the dining experience.
