Came to this restaurant after attempting to go somewhere else in the area, but I’m honestly glad we ended up here instead. Upon arriving, we were oddly greeted by a rude customer instead of an employee — their party was literally standing about five feet away from the entrance. However, the host handled the situation professionally without attitude or seeming bothered, which I appreciated. We asked to sit at the bar, and the host escorted us over right away.

Once seated, we were immediately acknowledged by the bartender. I hate that I didn’t catch her name because this young lady truly understood the steps of service. While the greeting itself could have had a little more warmth and introduction, she quickly made up for it in every other way possible. She stayed attentive the entire experience — got our drink orders quickly, checked back consistently, made sure we had refills, gave menu recommendations, and most importantly gave honest opinions that did not steer us wrong.

I won’t mention what I ordered because honestly, people should explore the menu for themselves instead of just ordering what everyone else says is popular. The food was enjoyable overall.

The only delay was the hookah taking quite some time to arrive, and our food did come out later than expected. However, she communicated the entire time, kept us updated, apologized sincerely, and immediately got someone involved to assist with the situation. That level of communication matters.

One thing I continue noticing at several restaurants lately — and this was no exception — is the lack of visible management presence. No manager was seen touching tables, checking on guests, or supporting the floor. Management visibility can truly elevate a dining experience, especially when issues arise.

The bathrooms were clean, which I always pay attention to. However, the lavender and vanilla gel beads were a little overpowering. Also, if the kitchen door is going to remain open, the visible areas behind it should stay organized, clean, and properly put away because guests absolutely notice those details.

Overall, the bartender truly carried the experience with professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality.

“Me and my bestie came to Larakin for wine and patio vibes on this good Wednesday afternoon, it was so cute and quaint. It’s an outdoor establishment. It has a cover but mostly tables and chairs with patio umbrellas. Right down the street from piedmont park. They have a decent selection of wine and they sell coffee beverages, as well as beer. We didn’t eat here this time but next time I definitely will, because they have seafood options. It’s a great place to do happy hour after work if you’re in the area. It’s also dog friendly, make sure your dog is on a leash.So I ordered the Lorenza (classic rosé ) it was very smooth. My best friend ordered the organic orange wine, she said the natural flavors were perfect nor too sweet. She loved it. I hate DoorDash, but this was one of the best things I’ve got from them.“

The Zatar, sweet & sour sauce was a true treat. Our server, Brittany was new and training but she made an excellent recommendation to go with a pitcher of the red sangria. It was perfectly sweet, but with a bite of tang. It was the right amount for two to share and paired well with everything we ate which also included the crispy calamari, pinxtos morunos (lamb skewers), and tortilla espanola. “My wife and I go to a wine tasting couple times a year here. It is a little pricey but it is a fun thing to do and the wine is good and the food is excellent. They serve appetizers with each two pores of wine. Recommend getting a full glass of wine and a separate appetizer when you get there.

Vegetarian options: They can accommodate some vegetarian options. But many of their appetizers do have meat.

Parking: Parking is in a large shared strip mall parking area.

Kid-friendliness: This event is not for kids. Many couples are there spending an evening away from their kids!

Wheelchair accessibility: The space is on the ground floor. The door is a single door, but I don't know if there's any wheelchair accessible seating. Most of this is at a bar height.“

We are two old white folks who absolutely do not meet the criteria for this very hip and urban feeling hooka bar. Didnt matter as we were warmly welcomed and Desiree at the bar took very good care of us. The lamb chops were excellent, with the best fried okra I have ever had in my life. The blackened alfredo pasta with shrimp was served in a very cute bowl and tasted fantastic. The chef even came out and asked how things were.
