This is a hidden gem in Gwinnett. First time here and the food was amazing. The food was seasoned to perfection and the fried chicken was crispy and juicy at the same time. Definitely felt like my grandmother was back there cooking lol If you’re in the Gwinnett area looking for some great soul food this is the place.
Ok, we just found out about this place and we're glad we did! Dorothy Mae's Soul Food Kitchen is inside of a food hall off of Peachtree Industrial Blvd. The food is delicious!We had two soul food bowls. I had the two piece Whiting with yellow rice and candied yams. The fish was seasoned and crispy. I got fried shrimp, collards and Mac and cheese. This was some of the best money I have ever spent on food!! Shrimp was huge, cooked perfectly, crispy corn batter SEASONED! Greens tender and full of flavor, mac n cheese like we want it made!! Absolutely delicious, It didn't last long enough for me take a picture...all I have left is utensils and juice from the greens. 10/10 recommend!!
