From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and inviting. It feels like sitting at your grandmother's table for Sunday dinner. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
Mr. Rickey was incredibly kind and hospitable, and it's clear he has gifted hands in the kitchen. Everything we tried from the fried wings and fish to the mac and cheese and candied yams was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Every bite felt like it was made with care and love.
The prices are very reasonable, and while there is a small dining area for those who want to eat in, takeout is also available.
If you're looking for authentic soul food that nourishes more than just your appetite, this is the place. You can truly feel the soul and love in every dish. Highly recommended this and a nap afterwards..LOL! Thanks Mr. Rickey for taking good care of us.“

I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken (white meat) with Mac n' Cheese and Parmesan Broccolini. The chicken was absolutely 'bussin'—perfectly seasoned and so moist. The Mac n' Cheese was so incredible that I had to order two servings!

I really appreciate the transparency on the menu, noting that the meal takes about 22 minutes to prepare. Knowing that Jay, the owner and chef, is personally crafting the food makes the wait totally worth it for that level of quality.

To drink, I had both the Peach and Watermelon Margaritas—at only $10 each, they were delicious and a great deal. My best friend joined me and loved her Atlanta Heat Lemon Pepper Wings too.

“Tried this restaurant on a lark. Outstanding! We had the lamb chops green beans and broccoli. Excellent. And the red velvet cake topped off a great meal. It is definitely on my "new favorites " list and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great meal.“

“I tried this place for lunch and I am glad I made the trip. Their service was friendly and answered my questions about possible options to get. I went with the jerk ribs rice & peas cabbage and a side of plantains. The only thing that was left were the bones. Sure enough some of that sauce was on my shirt. If you pick up the ribs with your hands just be ready to catch them with your plate. They fall off the bone type of ribs. There was some bbq sauce but blended well with the season. The cabbage was seasoned and tasted freshly cooked. Let's talk about the plantains. Perfectly cut and cooked. I can't even get that can of plantain quality in a Spanish restaurant. Best I have had. They do have a lunch special and plenty of side options. My only regret is not trying their juice. Next time I am trying the jerk chicken and stew.“

“I am so glad I took a chance in placing an order with this restaurant. I wanted turkey wings but they were out so I ordered the salmon. The salmon came over a bed of jambalaya rice. When I tell you the salmon was seasoned perfectly with the perfect crisp just the way I like it. I ordered macaroni and cheese as my 1 side. The amount of macaroni and cheese was plentiful. Really good portion sizes. I could not finish the macaroni and cheese by myself. I just pray the next time I order I'm just as satisfied. The building itself is designed to let you really enjoy your food with multiple TVs and a massive projector screen. While my daughter and I waited for our food we were straight catered to. You can select your own show or movie or watch YouTube at a smaller bar or relax in reclining chairs. There are multiple sections to sit in so you can really enjoy the company you bring in your own private section. The food was hot, the wings were crispy, and even the ranch is the good one. I got the BLT and my daughter got garlic Parmesan wings. The fries are actually cooked well until golden and seasoned like they should be. Everything was delicious and the comfort is unmatched. You won't find better food or better service at better prices. Definitely check it out.“

“I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“

“The empanadas are very good and the default sauce is pretty good. They used to be overpriced, but prices have adjusted down some which is good to see. Combos do not come with drinks. We only got two sauces with 3 3 piece empanada trios which I'm assuming was just overlooked, but I do know they want to charge if you ask for extra sauces. The chicken itself is expensive for what it is and I probably won't give it a chance. I just can't justify paying the price to try it when good chicken is available all over the place nearby. Service was slow we waited outside for at least 20 minutes for our food.“

“African Grill Duluth has become my go to spot whenever I don’t feel like cooking our I’m craving someone else’s food. I have tried the amala w/ewedu, jollof rice, ogbonno, beans and plantain - everything was a hit. I have only done delivery but any time I have called asking question about the menu the host has always been polite and patient. The food is consistent which is really hard for African restaurant. I haven’t been there in person so I can’t comment on the atmosphere but the food is great.“
