“We just had one of our largest Family Reunions in Suwanee, and delicious traditional soul food was imminent!!
After purchasing samples, we ordered catering from eminent Dorothy Mae’s Soul Food in (Tucker) Georgia!! Mr. Rickie and Ms. Sandra had this feast prepared to perfection & arrived on time!! The food was impeccably delicious, generous portions, and rave reviews were consistent all night. We are a loving family, but folks nearly fought over the take-home plates😂!! “We recently dined here for dinner after finding this place on Instagram. I can’t believe it took us four years to find this place and it was right around the corner. It was a Friday night and we didn’t need a reservation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The chef even came from the kitchen to check on everybody dining in the establishment. I highly recommend the fried shrimp, fried Lobster, cheese grits, the Mac & cheese, fried chicken entree, the appetizer chicken wings. and all of the salad options. All of the food was high-quality and you can tell that stuff was made fresh with no shortcuts (NO CANs at the establishment). This is rare to find these days in this economy. The food will take some time to come, but that is because everything is prepared fresh so greatness takes time and it is well worth the wait. Trust me. Everything was very tasty on the menu and we will definitely return. This is a perfect place if you want some soul food in the Roswell/Alpharetta/John’s Creek area and there’s plenty of upfront parking. This is a family, friendly establishment and they welcome everyone. I highly recommend coming here and we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for the tasty high quality dinner!“

“I've visited Red Rice five different times before writing this review because I wanted to be sure the quality was consistent—and it absolutely is.
Every visit has been an outstanding experience. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The lamb chops are tender and perfectly seasoned, the turkey wing is fall-off-the-bone delicious, and the oxtails are some of the best I've ever had.
It's hard to find a restaurant that delivers the same great quality every single time, but Red Rice does exactly that. If you're looking for authentic, consistently delicious food and a place you can count on, I highly recommend Red Rice. They've definitely earned my five stars!“

“I tried this place for lunch and I am glad I made the trip. Their service was friendly and answered my questions about possible options to get. I went with the jerk ribs rice & peas cabbage and a side of plantains. The only thing that was left were the bones. Sure enough some of that sauce was on my shirt. If you pick up the ribs with your hands just be ready to catch them with your plate. They fall off the bone type of ribs. There was some bbq sauce but blended well with the season. The cabbage was seasoned and tasted freshly cooked. Let's talk about the plantains. Perfectly cut and cooked. I can't even get that can of plantain quality in a Spanish restaurant. Best I have had. They do have a lunch special and plenty of side options. My only regret is not trying their juice. Next time I am trying the jerk chicken and stew.“

“I am so glad I took a chance in placing an order with this restaurant. I wanted turkey wings but they were out so I ordered the salmon. The salmon came over a bed of jambalaya rice. When I tell you the salmon was seasoned perfectly with the perfect crisp just the way I like it. I ordered macaroni and cheese as my 1 side. The amount of macaroni and cheese was plentiful. Really good portion sizes. I could not finish the macaroni and cheese by myself. I just pray the next time I order I'm just as satisfied. I will be ordering again and I look forward to writing the next review.“

The waitress came to our table immediately and asked for our drink orders and brought them back very quickly. I ordered the above items and in less than 15minutes i had my order and it was hot and seasoned to perfection. “I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“

“The empanadas are very good and the default sauce is pretty good. They used to be overpriced, but prices have adjusted down some which is good to see. Combos do not come with drinks. We only got two sauces with 3 3 piece empanada trios which I'm assuming was just overlooked, but I do know they want to charge if you ask for extra sauces. The chicken itself is expensive for what it is and I probably won't give it a chance. I just can't justify paying the price to try it when good chicken is available all over the place nearby. Service was slow we waited outside for at least 20 minutes for our food.“

“This was my first time visiting, and I was pleasantly impressed from the moment I walked up. Although it’s not a dine in it’s very welcoming. You place your order at the window and there is an covered outside eating area. I arrived about an hour before closing, and unlike many restaurants where options become limited near the end of the day, they still had a great selection of sides and entrées available. That immediately made a positive impression on me.

I ordered a veggie plate with black-eyed peas, cornbread dressing, and potato salad, along with an extra side of broccoli casserole. Every single item was delicious. The cornbread dressing was moist and seasoned perfectly. The potato salad was absolutely on point something that many places don’t quite get right, but they definitely did. The broccoli casserole was perfectly baked, flavorful, and a great addition to the meal.

What really put the icing on the cake was the customer service. The owner was personable, friendly, and approachable, which added to the overall experience. As someone who truly appreciates both quality food and excellent customer service, I left very satisfied. I don’t have any photos because I was too busy eating.

I have tried the amala w/ewedu, jollof rice, ogbonno, beans and plantain - everything was a hit. I have only done delivery but any time I have called asking question about the menu the host has always been polite and patient. The food is consistent which is really hard for African restaurant. I haven’t been there in person so I can’t comment on the atmosphere but the food is great.“
