“Very impressed with this place! From the moment we walked in, everyone was very welcoming. My biggest thing is TVs when I’m going somewhere to watch sports, and they definitely didn’t lack on that. They have a 100+ inch TV at one of the two bars, which is perfect for watching games.

A bar like this with liquor, good food, and a great setup for sporting events or just hanging out is definitely a good time. The bartenders/waitresses, Jamir and Jessica, were very welcoming and helpful with the menu.

We made it in about 5 minutes before happy hour was over, and they took care of us on the drinks, which I definitely appreciated. The food came out way faster than expected. I thought it was going to take longer, but everything came out right on time.

Food was an 8/10 overall. Nothing was overly seasoned, iykyk what I’m talking about 😂.

I also got the chance to speak with the owner, Marie, and she was very cool. Had a great conversation with her, and one thing I can definitely say is she LOVES and trusts her staff. Believe me, you can tell.

I’ll most likely become a regular here. Definitely found a new spot to hang out, watch games, and grab some good food and drinks. 🍻🏀📺

“I tried this place for lunch and I am glad I made the trip. Their service was friendly and answered my questions about possible options to get. I went with the jerk ribs rice & peas cabbage and a side of plantains. The only thing that was left were the bones. Sure enough some of that sauce was on my shirt. If you pick up the ribs with your hands just be ready to catch them with your plate. They fall off the bone type of ribs. There was some bbq sauce but blended well with the season. The cabbage was seasoned and tasted freshly cooked. Let's talk about the plantains. Perfectly cut and cooked. I can't even get that can of plantain quality in a Spanish restaurant. Best I have had. They do have a lunch special and plenty of side options. My only regret is not trying their juice. Next time I am trying the jerk chicken and stew.“

The waitress came to our table immediately and asked for our drink orders and brought them back very quickly. I ordered the above items and in less than 15minutes i had my order and it was hot and seasoned to perfection. I got the Jerk Chicken Pasta, one of my friends got the Nola Soul rice bowl, we also shared a side of mac n cheese. the portions were more than genrous. “I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“

I don't really care much about hushpuppies anyway though so no big deal. The fried chicken was some of the best ever, as were the fried catfish and fried shrimp. Strongly recommend the black eyed peas as well. Sephora was a lovely server. One downside was that there was a roof leak and it splashed all over our party but we did promptly get moved to another table and it's not their fault that happened since it was raining really hard and they don't own the building. “The empanadas are very good and the default sauce is pretty good. They used to be overpriced, but prices have adjusted down some which is good to see. Combos do not come with drinks. The chicken itself is expensive for what it is and I probably won't give it a chance. I just can't justify paying the price to try it when good chicken is available all over the place nearby. Service was slow we waited outside for at least 20 minutes for our food.“

“African Grill Duluth has become my go to spot whenever I don’t feel like cooking our I’m craving someone else’s food. I have tried the amala w/ewedu, jollof rice, ogbonno, beans and plantain - everything was a hit. I have only done delivery but any time I have called asking question about the menu the host has always been polite and patient. The food is consistent which is really hard for African restaurant. I haven’t been there in person so I can’t comment on the atmosphere but the food is great.“

You place your order at the window and there is an covered outside eating area. I arrived about an hour before closing, and unlike many restaurants where options become limited near the end of the day, they still had a great selection of sides and entrées available. That immediately made a positive impression on me.

I ordered a veggie plate with black-eyed peas, cornbread dressing, and potato salad, along with an extra side of broccoli casserole. Every single item was delicious. The cornbread dressing was moist and seasoned perfectly. The potato salad was absolutely on point something that many places don’t quite get right, but they definitely did. The broccoli casserole was perfectly baked, flavorful, and a great addition to the meal.

What really put the icing on the cake was the customer service. The owner was personable, friendly, and approachable, which added to the overall experience. As someone who truly appreciates both quality food and excellent customer service, I left very satisfied. I don’t have any photos because I was too busy eating.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience with great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again in the near future.“

“I love this place. It's not fancy, its very low tech, so I imagine trying to get uber eats from here might go wrong. BUT* if you actually go in, you'll experience some really lovely people who make some amazing food. So pick up in person or dine in, don't order online.

If you want strictly vegetarian this is not the place to go, as just about everything's cooked with meat or fat, but the veggies are all prepared well. They're still crispy, not overcooked.

The price point is a lot better than it is at most places around ATL. With the amount of love that goes into preparing the food, they could charge more, but choose not to.
