After purchasing samples, we ordered catering from eminent Dorothy Mae’s Soul Food in (Tucker) Georgia!! Mr. Rickie and Ms. Sandra had this feast prepared to perfection & arrived on time!! The food was impeccably delicious, generous portions, and rave reviews were consistent all night. We are a loving family, but folks nearly fought over the take-home plates😂!! “Very impressed with this place! From the moment we walked in, everyone was very welcoming. My biggest thing is TVs when I’m going somewhere to watch sports, and they definitely didn’t lack on that. They have a 100+ inch TV at one of the two bars, which is perfect for watching games.

A bar like this with liquor, good food, and a great setup for sporting events or just hanging out is definitely a good time. The bartenders/waitresses, Jamir and Jessica, were very welcoming and helpful with the menu.

We made it in about 5 minutes before happy hour was over, and they took care of us on the drinks, which I definitely appreciated. The food came out way faster than expected. I thought it was going to take longer, but everything came out right on time.

Food was an 8/10 overall. Nothing was overly seasoned, iykyk what I’m talking about 😂.

I also got the chance to speak with the owner, Marie, and she was very cool. Had a great conversation with her, and one thing I can definitely say is she LOVES and trusts her staff. Believe me, you can tell.

I’ll most likely become a regular here. Definitely found a new spot to hang out, watch games, and grab some good food and drinks. 🍻🏀📺

“I tried this place for lunch and I am glad I made the trip. Their service was friendly and answered my questions about possible options to get. I went with the jerk ribs rice & peas cabbage and a side of plantains. The only thing that was left were the bones. Sure enough some of that sauce was on my shirt. If you pick up the ribs with your hands just be ready to catch them with your plate. They fall off the bone type of ribs. There was some bbq sauce but blended well with the season. The cabbage was seasoned and tasted freshly cooked. Let's talk about the plantains. Perfectly cut and cooked. I can't even get that can of plantain quality in a Spanish restaurant. Best I have had. They do have a lunch special and plenty of side options. My only regret is not trying their juice. Next time I am trying the jerk chicken and stew.“

“I was studying with a couple of friends and we decided to order from soul foodies. I usually don't wrote reviews or give five stars but boy when I tell you the food was just so good. I got the Jerk Chicken Pasta, one of my friends got the Nola Soul rice bowl, we also shared a side of mac n cheese. the portions were more than genrous. I had food left for tomorows lunch 10/10 recommend and I will deifnently be back again.“

“The empanadas are very good and the default sauce is pretty good. They used to be overpriced, but prices have adjusted down some which is good to see. Combos do not come with drinks. We only got two sauces with 3 3 piece empanada trios which I'm assuming was just overlooked, but I do know they want to charge if you ask for extra sauces. The chicken itself is expensive for what it is and I probably won't give it a chance. I just can't justify paying the price to try it when good chicken is available all over the place nearby. Service was slow we waited outside for at least 20 minutes for our food.“

“I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“

“I visited Smokez because it's a neighborhood black owned business and I wanted to support. I ordered grilled chicken and it did not disappoint. Please note, the food is pricy, I paid approximately 15 dollars for 2 leg quarters. I'm glad I tried them out. The young lady at the window was a delight. She is extremely friendly. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I can't complain about anything.“
