every single dish I chose (smothered pork chops, collards, mac and cheese, cabbage, pecan pie) was spot on. reminded me of my childhood.

At least once a week I stop for breakfast. Mrs. Mary and others on the line are so sweet with great service. There is one day out of the week there is a new addition on the line. I assume she is the owner’s daughter. Her attitude and side eying blows my morning every time. Usually I don’t judge folks character because they too can be going through something. King's Southern Delight is an old school local soul food place in the Stone Mountain area. The restaurant lives up to its name, offering real comfort food done right. The turkey wings with dressing and gravy are a standout, with tender turkey wings, homemade tasting dressing, and gravy that ties the plate together. The dressing is available on Wednesday and Friday, and when it is not, customers get mac and cheese and yams. The cornbread comes with the meal. A dinner of two turkey wings with two sides and a piece of cornbread costs around $18.00 to $19.00. Breakfast is also an awesome taste experience, with salmon patties tasting like Grandma used to make, phenomenal cheese grits, and perfect scrambled eggs. The sides are so good, meat is not even needed. The service is warm, welcoming, friendly, kind, and helpful. Portions are exactly what is hoped for at a Southern spot. The restaurant is closed on weekends.
