“So, my amazing boss treated the team to Kitty Dare for our holiday dinner. It was so amazing- I couldn’t get it off my brain so I came back tonight (two nights later, lol) to eat it again. Now, when we went as a group, we were served family style apps and entrees. We had their hummus, Greek salad, and an eggplant dish that had a nice kick to it for starters. Dinner was salmon over coucous, rice cakes, grilled asparagus, and amazing airline chicken dish, their 8hour bolognese, and one other dish I can’t remember but all were incredible. Came back tonight for the pistachio and pea hummus and again- that bolognese. Yummmm!! If you haven’t been, you’re missing out! Special place for any occasion“

He was so patient with us through our many questions, recommended some excellent menu items and cocktails, and even gave us a list of other restaurants to try while we are in town. “Hovan is hands down one of my favorite lunch spots in Atlanta. It never disappoints. Somehow they make a basic Greek salad stand out—I can’t explain it, but they do. The cauliflower is simple yet incredible. And their beef/lamb shawarma? That’s my go-to. It’s hard to order anything else.

What I love most is that it feels healthy without sacrificing flavor. Nothing deep-fried or greasy. just real, quality food done right.

The owner is the heart of the place. It’s rare to find spots where the adorable, grandpa like welcoming owner is still everyone’s favorite, but he is. Warm, always smiling, putting a little extra love into each plate. You can tell he genuinely cares about every customer who walks through the door.

“First-time visit, and I’m already a fan! Cafe Sababa offers a cozy café-style ambiance with cool, laid-back vibes — perfect for enjoying a flavorful Mediterranean meal.

Upon walking in, you place your order at the register. If the team is in the back (as they were when I arrived), there’s a little bell to ring for assistance — a nice touch that keeps things flowing.

After browsing the menu, I went with the chicken platter, which came with creamy hummus, a fresh salad, and warm, soft pita bread. I also added a side of chickpea curry soup, and let me tell you — the portion was generous, served hot, and packed with flavor.

Everything tasted fresh, filling, and well-seasoned. The prices were more than fair, and to top it off, bottled water was just $0.50. That’s rare these days!

This family-style Mediterranean spot is a solid yes for me. I felt welcomed, comfortable, and left full and satisfied. Definitely adding Cafe Sababa to my go-to list.“

“Food was exquisite, well seasoned, and visually appealing. We ordered something spicy, forgot what it was, but it hit the spot as far as taste was concerned. The coffee was everything I would expect from an Ethiopian restaurant. Went for my birthday and was a pleasant surprise. Hardly any patrons were present. There was a homeless man who kept trying to enter, the waitress eventually gave him a plate. That speaks to character. It took a little while to pay and leave as it was only one waitress.“

I came to the Grecian Dunwoody one day to pick up an order for my husband and was in a joking move that day. So, I said to Andy (worker) after placing my order. "I do not have any $$ to pay for it. Do you know this "outstanding young man" had sympathy for me and pulled out his personal credit card and offer to pay for my order. Ahhhh. I could have cried. WHO DOES THIS? Andy does this! “My boyfriend and I stopped at the Forum to get food and decided on this place. Absolutely amazing service. Shoutout to Abdul because he was patient, explained the portion size for my Bhel (I wanted something filling but small) and he even brought my boyfriend’s meal to the table! “Pulled over because I was running errands during my lunch break. Best decision I made all day. I got the spicy lamb gyro and it was delicious, warm, and packed with a lot of meat. It wasn't even that spicy as I had to ask before ordering it spicy because I love spicy food but a lot of places over do it . The nice lady at the window told me it wasn't that spicy and I went for it, brought it back to work and devoured it. I got one for my coworker and I was about to eat his because it was SOOO good. A little far from where I work but definitely worth the drive.“
