Their burritos are awesome (my favorite is the Homewrecker, with steak), their chips are fresh, and they have the best salsas around (my favorite is Who Is Kaiser Salsa? but also like the tomatillo as well as some of the seasonal ones). Oh, and their guacamole is what heaven would be like heave were thick green paste with the perfect flavoring. I'm not so much a fan of their chicken, but who cares when their steak is so good!“

As I usually do…I get the steak Baja at the various locations I visit around the city…this location’s steak was seasoned perfectly. “Ordered to go from here, so don’t have a full idea of the service. But the young woman who was at the to go counter today was very nice and polite. The food was excellent, probably some of the best Chilli’s I’ve had in a while. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of a perfect five was the queso was kinda watery and lost some of its flavor because of it. But that could just be one batch of queso, so still giving four stars. All in all, really good and highly recommend, just hope my queso isn’t so watery next time. But will definitely be back many times!“

“Taqueria del Sol leans more Tex-Mex than strictly traditional Mexican, but what keeps us coming back is how fresh everything tastes. It doesn’t feel like a chain at all—more like a place where the food is made daily with real ingredients and a lot of care.

We usually start with skinny margs while waiting in line (which is part of the experience). It’s surprisingly social—we’ve ended up chatting with people almost every time, and even made a few friends there.

Food-wise, we almost always kick things off with chips, fresca salsa, and queso. The guac is also really good. From there, we’ll either try the weekly special or go with a favorite: the Memphis taco. It typically comes with pork, but I always swap in roasted chicken—“Memphis, sub roasted chicken”—and it’s perfect with the jalapeño coleslaw and turnips.

A quick note: the slaw can be spicy—sometimes more than expected—but that’s part of the charm. You can tell it’s made fresh daily, so the flavors can vary a bit from visit to visit. Personally, I love that—it keeps things interesting while still being consistently delicious.

And we can’t forget the staff. Even if the food weren’t this good, we’d still come back every week for them alone. They’re fun, engaging, and part of what gives the place its unique, community feel.

“This is probably one of my favorite taqueria's of all time. There classic margarita has just enough sweet and tart mix. My favorite things on the menu are salsa trio, shrimp corn chowder (this is a must every visit), fish taco, and beef brisket enchiladas with lemon cream. Pro tip... don't get the queso and dip your chips in the lemon cream when the enchilada comes. The only reason I gave them 4 starts for atmosphere is because each store runs different hours. There is nothing like grabbing a taco and marg as a mid-day snack and the location closest to you is closed.“

“Went to the Emory Cox Food Hall, and tried Twisted Tacos for the first time. I ordered the BBQ chicken Nachos with a side of Fried Plantains. Very good, quick and friendly service and the food was really delicious and seasoned well. The plantain pieces were huge, well worth it.“

Loved the chips. Like they were deep fried. Queso dip was a little thin, but it was good. Fish tacos were fried crispy, however, could’ve had a little more fish in the taco. Good cocktail the Skinny Love margarita was actually rather tasty I must say. Charro beans truly kiddy side.“

“Food is great when you can get the server to actually get the order right. This is my 4th time coming here and each time I order the same thing, enchiladas supreme. I ask for all beef and all flour tortillas. How hard can it be. The server repeats my order and it still comes out wrong. I request it to be remade, and this time it comes out all beef but in CORN versus the flour tortillas I asked for. At this point, I no longer want the meal. You would think that as a courtesy for the inconvenience the manager would comp the other $21.99 meal for inconvenience. Nope, so I politely paid the ticket and determined that I will never visit this establishment again. Horrible server, service and even more a moron of a manager (Francisco). If your waiter doesn't write down your order, just know it may have to be redone several times and they will surely look at you as if to say, "you don't want it"? TF 🙄😡🤬“
