“Must try the pisco sour if you haven't had this Peruvian white alcohol. A lot like Tequila. The drink has a nutmeg flavour. Also tried the Pasha Mama. A vegetarian dish with a Japanese influence and quinoi. I chose to add Marlin - freshly caught. Loved the Japanese fusion of flavours.“
“Some much to say about this place. High quality sushi is the most important. The service was great. The staff is quick and attentive. We choose to eat at the traditional sit down Japanese seating and it was a great experience. I can't rave enough about the qauilty of the sushi. I would rate this place higher if possible they are doing everything right. Don't miss a chance to eat here!“
“Aji Limo Truck is located on a large lot with about 4 (if I remember correctly) other food trucks - right across from Shark's Cove. Because it's a little tucked away (you have to walk past the food trucks at the front and get on the other side of the parking lot). The food here is amazing - specifically the poke. It's so fresh and flavorful.“
“The best noodles in Honolulu ever. The broth was light but at the same time super delicious. It was not complex and just dreamy. I was craving for more after eating this. Aside from the highlight, the runner up dishes that I tried included the beef stick, small but mighty beef on a stick. The musubi was also very good, perfect size. Overall, service was speedy, humorous, and nice. The waiter we had was just hilarious and welcoming. This place is literally in the middle of nowhere, but this isn't your creepy restaurant, this is a cozy, sanctuary for your noodle cravings . Coming back on my next voyage to Honolulu.“
“Small but very friendly restaurant tucked away in Mililani mauka. The girl up front was very nice and friendly. The food was very good I didn’t know what to expect. The shoyu pork was amazing definitely would get again. My wife got the ahi cakes and she enjoyed them too. My son got the teriyaki chicken it was a little dry, but he did enjoy the hotdog. Would definitely go back and try other dishes.“
“First time at this restaurant. The inside was quite plain, but when the food hit the table, I understood what the fuss about this place was. My wife got the chicken Pho and I got the BBQ chicken/ spring roll vermicelli. Super fresh and delicious. Pricing was fair.“
“I had very high hopes for this place.A few weeks ago, I stopped by for the first time and got beef curry and gyoza to go. It was spectacular! Decided to go for the ramen next visit. And I did.I wanted to get the thickest, most robust flavored soup, so I got the "Special" tonkotsu black garlic ramen.I really liked the visual presentation. Very vibrant, neat and appetizing. As with most ramen takeouts, the soup and noodles were packaged in separate containers. Before pouring the soup into the ramen bowl, I took a little sip.It was a tad disappointing, as I had such high hopes for this shop. The soup was a bit on the bland side. I guess the fried garlic chips are supposed to carry the flavor but there's nothing else. What I did notice was a slight slimy texture and a hint of odor. This probably indicates that inferior pork bones were used to draw the soup stock. For those of you who don't know how tonkotsu soup is made, ignorance is bliss. If you knew exactly what's in it, you may be traumatized! So, I'll spare you the details. What I will say is that hours of boiling the pork bones is needed to extract the umami, but other ingredients are crucial too. Grated ginger, garlic cloves, salt and pepper are some of the common items that are used. Despite the shortcomings of the tonkotsu soup, I have high hopes that Rakumen could be a top contender in the ramen world if they tweaked their soup just a little bit. Use better quality pork bones would be one. Adding a bit more flavor would be the other. *I had some leftover soup, so I added a little grated ginger and garlic with a few drops of la-yu to it and already, it was about as good as the other ramen shops in town. I give them 4 stars despite the seemingly harsh critique of their tonkotsu, because of their prompt and courteous service. But most of all, I believe that they will only get better.Looking forward to visiting again to up them to 5 stars!“
“The place is nicely decorated and the staff were really nice. It's a buffet style so they give you the soup st start with and you pick things to put in your soup from the fridge. I think its about $35-38 a person. Not exactly sure, but they do military discount only on the person with an ID not the whole partyParking: It's a small parking lot in the front and a small lot in the back“
“We found this place on another online platform after going to the Dole Plantation. It is located in a strip mall that looks old and run down so we were skeptical. We located the restaurant in the corner of the lot (next to the Goodwill). We sent a scout in take a look prior lol. The scout gave us the all clear so we entered the restaurant, which was clean and had open tables. We were greeted by a nice man who took the time to get to know us and give us some island history. Ok to the food: There were 4 of us. Each ordered a different entree. 1. Spam hand roll and a tempura hand roll - deliciousness 2. Energy roll- this tasted very fresh and was a roll with eel and avocado on top with eel sauce- deliciousness 3. Ahi poke bento box- came out looking just like the picture on the menu( how many times does that happen!) lots of fresh fish and rolls- deliciousness 4. Tempura shrimp bowl with spicy sauce on top. Tempura shrimp Packed in a bowl on a bed of rice. - deliciousness 5. Spicy ahi poke bowl- came out with tons of fresh ahi covered in spicy mayo and sriracha sauce. - delicious if you like spicy fresh fish. This mom and pop shop deserves your business. The food (all of it) tasted fresh and made with care. I would not write it if it wasn’t true. They will serve you a complimentary miso soup to start ( no spoons here, sip out of cup!) All in all great grub. We will be back!“
“Hands down, one of the best dinners I've had in a while! Gyu-Kaku in Mililani truly knows how to impress with their all-you-can-eat deal for $67. Let me tell you, it was worth every penny! First off, let's talk about those garlic noodles. Absolute perfection! The flavors melded together so beautifully, it was like a symphony in my mouth. If you're a garlic lover like me, these noodles are a must-try. Now, onto the stars of the show - the meats. We indulged in the bistro steak and the HARAMI steak, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The bistro steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with just the right amount of seasoning. But oh, the HARAMI steak stole the show! Tender, flavorful, and simply irresistible. I can understand why it's a favorite among regulars. I'll definitely be coming back for more of that HARAMI goodness! But the experience wouldn't have been complete without mentioning our stellar server, Isabella. She was on top of her game from start to finish, providing top-notch service with a smile. One of the best servers we've encountered at Gyu-Kaku, hands down! Overall, Gyu-Kaku in Mililani exceeded all expectations. Delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy ambiance - what more could you ask for? Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back for another round of gastronomic delight!“
“Excellent noodle restaurant with an incredible bakery. The Ramen meal we had was delicious and plentiful. Full flavored, plenty of good noodles all added to a delightful experience.Service was great, they could not have been more helpful and pleasant.Their bakery items are delicious, the apple turnover tasted like apple not overly sweet, with one of the flakest crusts ever.“
“Decided to explore something new in the area and stumbled upon this excellent establishment. Visited post-lunch hours, so it wasn't overly crowded. A down-to-earth restaurant offering delightful katsu curries and ramen. The food arrived surprisingly quickly. We tried the spam, chicken, and shrimp katsu curries, all delicious, though the crunch was a bit hard. The combo sets are a great choice; we went for Combo A. The fried rice and mini ramen were spot on. If you crave ramen or curry, this spot is a must-try.“
“Excellent food and vibes! Cute little outdoor patio under umbrellas and a big tree. Mini poke with spicy garlic tuna was hands down some of the best poke I’ve ever had! Takoyaki was delicious too ? workers were super friendly and nice. Ingredients were fresh and you could tell.Parking: There’s no parkingKid-friendliness: Environment very kid friendly :)“
