Makai Market Food Court offers a fairly large selection of walk up eateries with around 30 tenants at 100% occupancy. They have almost every kind of ethnic food available, including Japanese, Chinese, Hawaiian, American, Italian, Thai, and Mexican, along with specialty drinks and desserts. Specific meals mentioned include Yummy Korean BBQ, Steak & Fish Company, Jack in the box, Chick-fil-A, Roots & Greens, and Lahaina Chicken Company. The food court underwent a wonderful renovation a few years ago after being a bit dreary. Tables are plentiful but hard to come by, long, very communal, and kept pretty clean by sanitation folks who are around picking up after people and cleaning tables. It can get pretty crowded during peak hours, making it a challenge to find a place to sit. Parking just outside the area is very congested and impossible. The service is "fast food" style—stand in line, order, pay, wait, pickup, and then grind. No matter how long the lines are, it is always worth the wait. This place is great for people watching and is a good option for a large group or solo party. Overall, it is decent and good value for money.
