Blue Note Hawaii Reviews
Blue Note Hawaii — not quite living up to the name...
I really wanted to enjoy Blue Note Hawaii more than I did.
Blue Note has a great reputation, and I arrived with expectations shaped by both my love of jazz — particularly bebop — and being a semi-regular patron of Blue Note Tokyo during my military tenure. I will support almost any venue that keeps live jazz, blues and quality musicianship alive. We need more of them, not fewer.

Good acts come in. Venue is garbage.
Wide variety of entertainment options from comedy to music. Food and drinks are decent for a limited menu.

Blue Note Hawaii offers a great experience for music lovers. Booking tickets online is easy, and you can enjoy a $5 discount with a coupon. The venue opens early, so guests can have drinks and meals before the show. The menu includes Hawaiian-inspired dishes like Hawaiian Plum BBQ Chicken. While some items may not impress, the short ribs are delicious. The atmosphere is intimate, perfect for enjoying live performances, and the venue is located on the 2nd floor inside a hotel. Visitors often find the space dim, which adds to the cozy mood, though it can make seeing the menu a challenge. The venue attracts some of the best artists and offers valet parking for convenience. The setting is lively, with people dancing, singing, and enjoying the music. Bathrooms are small, so patience might be needed. Overall, Blue Note Hawaii provides a wonderful time with music and tasty food options, despite some dishes falling short.
