The spicy beef soup was only $10.99. It was very cheap for a Korean dish so I had decided to have my lunch here.Once the side dishes and the main dish and a bowl of rice came out it turned out to be a lot. The taste was also good.This was a definite cheap eats in town.This is a small restaurant with a waitress that had difficulty with speaking & understanding english, but she did try to be helpful.
The food was exactly what we wanted. Soft tofu soup with mushrooms is my favorite Korean dish and it was good here. The sauce that came with the zucchini jun was so delicious that we asked to take some home. We had an attentive server who refilled our water several times. This was the most affordable meal we've had so far in Honolulu, but we're used to Bay Area prices.Vegetarian options: I'd ask. Probably need to let them know if you don't want egg in your soup.

Skip the overpriced AYCE places that represent 1/16 of what Koreans eat and come here. The menu is broad and covers (darn near) everything: jjigaes, mandu kuk, dok mandu kuk, soon toobu, kalbi, etc, etc. This is Korean food that a Korean mom would make, assuming she is a great cook. There is plenty of parking and the prices are great. The service was great, she went out of her way to painstakingly give us directions.
