Choi's Family Restaurant Reviews
Big bone Kal-bi ,Spinach Tofu salad,chop-chae, zucchini tempura, and meat jun.
Highly recommend this place because of three things: thickness, balanced flavor, and soft. The meat jun is so soft that my chopsticks cut through with little effort. Kalbi is also soft that you can bite through with little force. The flavor is well balanced with the salty and sweet taste. Lastly, I have never had korean food where the meats were around 1/4" or thicker while still being soft. Price is very reasonable, and they accept credit card payment. A must try!

Choi's Family Restaurant is located on McCully Street, inside Hana Market. It was previously a sit-down restaurant on King St, but now offers take-out service. The owner, who also owns Hana Market, has set up a kitchen in the front part of the store. The restaurant is known for its Korean food, including the Family Pack, Party Pack #1, BBQ chicken, beef, fried mandoo, and chicken katsu or meat jun. The portions are large and generous, and the prices have increased slightly over the years. The spinach tofu salad with homemade dressing remains a popular item. Customers praise the thick, tender Kalbi, and juicy, tender marinated beef and chicken that are not salty. The meat jun is so soft that it cuts easily with chopsticks, and the flavor is well balanced between salty and sweet. The menu also features a spicy Taegu-like dressing that can be ordered separately, as well as zucchini tempura with thick, crunchy batter and a delicious sauce. The large zucchini slices are impressive. Customers recommend calling in orders in advance, as there is no waiting area or chairs in the restaurant. Parking is available in the McCully Buffet lot, with two reserved stalls for Hana Market’s customers. Overall, Choi's Family Restaurant offers delicious Korean food with generous portions, making it popular for parties, dinners, and take-out orders.
