Domo Cafe | Kahala is a best order at counter sushi and poke bowl place that does 90% of their business with takeout. The atmosphere is not really a restaurant; it has a few tables with counter service, limited indoor seating, and is air conditioned and very basic. Everything ordered was delicious, with food coming out quickly that did not disappoint. The fish is extremely fresh and surprisingly high quality for a takeout place. Specific meals include the A1 bento with ahi poke, edamame, two piece salmon nigiri, miso soup, and sushi rice; the D2 udon and mini salmon poke bowl with a very clean but tasty broth; the Domo Special Poke Bowl with Salmon, Ahi, and Hamachi; the udon+teriyaki combo with the best teriyaki ever and amazing udon; the aburi lover's platter with 32 pieces of seared garlic salmon and ahi for more bang for your buck; and spicy ahi bombs and garlic ahi nigiris. The owner is so, so kind and works hard to ensure the best and freshest ingredients. This hidden gem is great for ordering something small or sushi platters to take to a party.
