Came back for a nostalgic visit after many years away from the island. Well, unfortunately, we left a bit disappointed. On the other hand, prices aren't to bad and they offer a Monday-Friday 10% off lunch special for military and 55+ folks. Back in the day it was a revolving sushi bar. Now, you can place your order with a server or scan the QR code by your table/stool and order via your phone. Nice to have both options available. We chose to order on our phone. If you're craving conveyor belt sushi with a customizable sushi palette, then this is the place for you. It wasn't busy at all when we visited on a weekday noon, and we got a seat at the conveyor bar. The foods were all tasty and delicious for the island, and the small crab plate was one I haven't encountered before. Definitely check out their seasonal drinks and dishes, and I'd recommend visiting Genki sushi here!
Son son and I popped in for lunch today. We arrived just before they opened, so we were the first to sit.
The order:
Daddy’s favorites: Salmon Skin Roll, Ultimate Trio Nigiri (ahi, salmon, hamachi),
Son son’s favorites: Veg Tempura, Salmon Karaage, Shinko Maki
It’s our normal order. Tempura was hot and crispy, salmon skin was umami and crunchy, salmon Karaage crispy and soft inside.
