Food: The green curry was good, the eggplant was great, the zucchini a bit undercooked, and the tofu a little different (not spongy) but still good. Definitely met expectations but wasn’t exceptional. Combined the with steamed rice was just enough to share between two of us. Appreciated that there’s a vegan/vegetarian protein option for the main dishes (tofu + vegetables).Price: maybe it’s typical Hawaii prices but seemed quite expensive. $17 for the curry (without rice)...read full review

We ordered the fish and chili sauce and the chicken pad woon sen. Absolutely delicious. I am normally anti-seafood, but I took a bite of my husband’s fish and chili sauce and immediately said “Mmm!!”. That has never happened in my life! They are attentive, have quick and high quality service, and the food comes out piping hot, well seasoned, and generously portioned. Thai Lao is the place to go for authentic Thai in the Honolulu area!

Favorite Thai spot. Got the beef fried rice and drunken noodles. Both were flavorful and the medium spice was spicier than other Thai restaurants--it was the perfect spice for me since I like spicy food. Definitely will be back when I visit O'ahu again.
