Found on Google while driving and as I walked through the maze of food carts looking for them, a man cooking at a grill called out asking how I was and if I wanted a sample of what he was making. Starting talking and realized this was the spot I was looking for. More of a tent and table setup, not in a truck/cart. Good eats, recommend supporting them.“
“IT'S CORN! I sang that song the whole time I was eating my shoyu butter corn. My bf found Uncle Woody's BBQ Corn bc he knows I love corn!!!!!!!!! I got the shoyu butter while my bf got the baja. Both were delicious, and my only critique would have to be that my corn could have stayed on the grill for another 2-3 minutes. Overall, still yummy, and if we didn't already have so many food spots to check off our list, I probably could have ate 2 more.“
“Had the most delicious and flavorful vegan soup! Tried the savory soup listed under their specials which had coconut, potato, cauliflower, kale, and mushroom. It came out piping hot! There were also options for add ons like chips or lentils for only $1. The lady was super sweet and asked if I was okay with certain seasonings while she was preparing it. “Cute, casual, open-air place with shaded seating. Friendly, easygoing atmosphere. Shave ice is a bowl of loosely flaked ice with sweet flavored syrup, eaten with a spoon and straw. Refreshing on a hot day. Our vegan family got "ice only" fruit flavors, hence vegan ($4 a bowl). I enjoyed my combo pineapple and li hing (salted dried plum) shave ice. Vegetarians and omnivores can gild the lily by adding (dairy) ice cream and topping ($7 a bowl I think). I was tempted to get some fresh tropical fruit, also for sale, but skipped it. We saw other folks getting cut coconuts and pineapples with straws to drink the juice. Mango and other local sliced fruit was also available. A half dozen souvenir shops are in the same little parking area. The most upscale was the sea glass art shop, with works by local artists. “This place ended up on our radar thanks to the folks at 22Kailua! It's situated amongst a handful of fast casual spots on North Shore. Lines weren't too long when we were there in September 2021. Not sure we'd take a trip out to North Shore just for this, but it's a fun option if you're already in the area. * Kahuku waffle dog: Steven preferred this one. I just liked the lilikoi honey mustard--certainly not something I've had before. * Lobster dog: I liked the consistency! It reminded me of a crab cake. Steven said he would've liked it more if the dog were marinated.“
“The Scampi was delicious and was a well deserved wait as this was a planned stop on our Honolulu trip that began 3 months earlier. The macaroni salad is the bomb too and is a must try! Definitely recommend and the drive on the way there sure helps! A unique experience! Mahalo! ❤️❤️“
“Hands down the best shave ice I've tried on Oahu! The ice is so finely shaved and they have a big selection of flavors. They even had my favorite, cotton candy, which I wasn't able to find anywhere else on the island. The owners were sooo sweet and friendly too! Next time I'm on Oahu, I'll be back!“
“New favorite restaurant. Seriously. This experience could not have been better. Right away the shrimp shack staff were kind, welcoming and friendly, it'd be hard not to be happy in such a beautiful location, right across from the beach with the breeze coming off the water. This spot has a fantastic menu, the three of us went with two plates to share but we could've downed four plates easy. Their coconut shrimp is one of the best bites of my life, served with a mango honey sauce that it SO GOOD and they're being SO CHILL about selling it, they could put up a sign or something to let people driving by know they have maybe the best sauce I've ever had. Their garlic shrimp was great as well, the Mahi Mahi with grilled onions was the other star of the day, I suggest loading up on coconut shrimp and the mango sauce, as much of the mango sauce as you can get away with, and Mahi Mahi and enjoying it all as we did at their tables by the sea. A beautiful experience. This place is a must stop.“
“Holy cow! This pizza was by far the best pizza I've had, ever! And this is coming from both trying many pizza spots and making pizza at home.The guy that runs the truck is super chill and does a great job to both make sure you get everything you want, and also ensure you know the price you are paying for the pizza (adding additional toppings can add up rather quickly of course)And, well, as far as atmosphere goes, it's pizza next to the beach...what more can you ask for!Definitely go see this guy when he is open up in the north shore! “This is our second time getting fruit smoothies for my husband. I, for my second time, tried a different type of tea smoothie. They were delicious each time. Thank youDietary restrictions: I'm keto, so my tea's I asked for no sugar added. They also gave me almond milk instead of regular milk.
