“This is Kahului's original location. It was completely rebuilt a few years ago. Not having them around for several months was torture! Nothing really beneficial was accomplished aside from looking prettier. The drive thru is still narrow and the dining room the same size.

I have favorites, like everyone else does. First and foremost, I'm ecstatic they brought back the Mexican Pizza.

If you're missing the MexiMelt, order the Cheesy Rollup and add ground beef & pico. It tastes 99% the same.

“Finally, Dairy Rd does an awesome job tonight and restored my faith in coming back (2 Christmas’s ago, I ordered a large quantity of filet o fish and ALL of them got shoved into 1 bag & you can see a perfect indent of someone’s fist on one of the boxes… yes, that got posted as well). But like any popular trademark fast food chain, it’s difficult to stop going to buy everyone’s favorite fast meal. Back to the main reason… 9:25PM, before leaving to pick up my son from work, we all chose to order basically the same thing… three 20 piece chicken nuggets, two large fries, two large sodas, and a large slushie. Over there at the Puunene one, I never have to add extra ice because they put a good amount. On Dairy Rd, I add it so it can have a decent amount too. So, almost $56 later, and getting my son… right as I’m about to turn in, my other son tells me that the ‘I’m here’ button is gone and the whole order disappeared. 10:05PM, parked at the #1 curbside at Puunene McDonalds, I see an email stating that here was a detailed receipt of my cancelled items, that it just might take 5 to 15 days to get my $56 back depending on my bank. After the receipt, it reads, “We hope you enjoyed your experience, and look forward to serving you again, soon!” Seriously?!? I have two almost adult teenagers hungry in the car, plus myself, it was now getting closer to 10:30PM, and MAYBE it might take up to TWO WEEKS and a day for me to see my $56 back in my hands… I did NOT enjoy my experience tonight. I’m just happy that since using Venmo instead of my bank card, I got my money back right away to be able to order our meal from the Dairy Rd. location. I know that not all McDonald’s on Maui aren’t connected, but they still represent (and are the face of) the franchise. They’re the ones that are here to provide the McDonald’s service I’m sure was founded from the very beginning. And I’m pretty sure that no one who’s with their offsprings at an almost late hour and hungry, would be okay with NOT getting a reason why the order was cancelled… heck! Parked at stall 1 we watched the long *ss line in drive thru being helped and served… so my sons said to me while heading to Dairy Rd., that the Puunene location JUST DIDNT WANT TO MAKE THE CHICKEN NUGGETS. No explanation, we come up with our own explanation. Dairy Rd, I sometimes purposely skip you (even if it’ll be convenient and faster for me) and go to the other. But tonight I am the happiest I’ve ever been since last year in September. I’ll order from you guys again, and I’m sorry for going to the other one. ‘Kay, I’m done venting and eating. Now it’s 11:12PM and it’s time to leave McDonald’s. AND FYI, I DON’T CARE IF I SOUND SILLY. TRY BEING LET DOWN EVERY SINGLE TIME FOR DECADES.“
