“The woman who got us the shaved ice was so friendly and sweet! The shaved ice itself was also very good. A bit more of a crushed ice than shaved but let’s be honest here yall…it all tastes the same…it’s ice! The flavors I chose, mango and lychee were also delicious. The vanilla ice cream was a nice touch as well. Some people said pricing is not listed, however it is on the board when you walk in and add-on pricing is very clear (in front of your face). This was a cute shop in Maui and I would reccomend it for a quick and yummy treat! 4/5 for the atmosphere because it was a bit dark in the shop and we weren’t sure if it was open, however the friendly woman quickly asked if we were here for shaved ice to let us know they’re open! Again, friendly and delicious!* Please note, the lychee flavor is a clear syrup so the white side is not dull in color. It is simply clear flavoring!“
“Half of my hotel stay was a 5/5 but it was bought by new owners for the other. I booked this hotel stay because it was the only privately owned hotel I could find in Maui. There was so much attention paid to honouring and celebrating Hawaiian culture, from the food to the amazing cultural centre. All staff was friendly and I had an incredible experience with the cultural centre staff who were always happy to answer any questions I had and share their own personal experiences. My farewell lei ceremony was a moment I'll never forget. I had a great Hawaiian meal at Hui Hui and halfway through my stay the hotel was abruptly bought and rebranded to Outrigger. Hui Hui is now going to be "Maui Brewing Co" and I can only hope that the new owner preserves what makes this place special - the cultural centre, the staff, and honouring/celebrating Hawaiian culture.“
“With the Marriott discount card (get it from the welcome center), the menu items will cost 10% less. It all adds up. On Taco Tuesday, the tacos are $15 instead of $19 (and 10% less with the card). We ate them last year and didn't think they were overly impressive but this year ... wow! What a difference! The fish was plentiful (as was the shrimp) and the tortilla chips were so much nicer than fries. Our guests raved about the Lobster Sensation Grilled Cheese as well as their hot dogs and chicken tenders. On 6 days of the week, there are additional menu options and are offered as "Beach Walk Nightly Events: 5-7 pm) and 4 of those events are going to be outside the Kau Kau and will border the walkway. Those special Kau Kau nights do not include Sunday and will feature one of these nightly: Teppanyaki, Tacos, BBQ, family pasta night, Hawaiian BBQ, and prime rib. Also try the Makai Tiki Bar. Do not overlook walking down to Whalers Village for the excellent options at the Food Court there.“
“A well-run Panda Express operation. We might have a problem, but we go to Panda just about any place we are for more than a few days. You can always count on getting some good veggies and quality food. This one near the Safeway in Lahaina is no exception. Friendlyish staff, clean, quality.“
“Well, it's McDonald's. The main reason we went was because we heard that in Hawaii, they have Spam on the menu. I know, Spam. Apparently it is only during a breakfast dish served with eggs. We were there a little after lunch time so it was not on the menu. This was also the first time I had been to a McDonald's in maybe 9-10 years. Well, the Quarter Pounder with cheese still tastes the same! I suppose I would give it 5 stars for being a McDonald's, except I found it quite annoying that I had to have an employee unlocked the bathrooms just to go. That's just not right. Other than that, the people were friendly the food hot and fresh and it was a newer McDonald's. I suppose if you are in Hawaii on the island of Maui and you need to eat a good quick meal, Then this will fit the bill just fine.“
“We just got back from staying at this resort. Since our villa didn't have a full kitchen, it was hard to have an easy, quick protein filled breakfast after my morning walk, so I ended up here twice. One visit I got the bacon and egg wrap, and the second visit I got the veggie wrap. Both wraps were huge - large enough for two breakfasts. The bacon and egg wrap came with potatoes but the veggie wrap did not. Both were delicious options and if we return to the resort, I'll definitely try them again. Pricey, but since each entree lasted two meals, it wasn't so bad.“
“I can always count on Jersey Mikes to deliver fresh and tasty subs!! Had the Jersey Shore sandwich with the works, mikes way plus Mayo and hot pepper relish. OMG! It hit the spot. Nice servers and in and out in a huff. It was not peak time but at 330 pm. Definitely higher than I would pay in New Jersey but really worth it.“
“Good customer service from Matthew today when we went through the drive thru with our pups for a quick burger. He was friendly, professional, made sure we had the sauces we like and was just generally helpful and happy. Mahalo Matthew :)Burger King is pricey on island as they don't offer mainland specials, and they are more expensive than McDs but I do prefer their fries, plus their fish burger is much bigger and tastier.“
“Got breakfast at the drive thru. Although there were cars infront of us the service was quick & accurate. The employee that helped us at the 1st window was very pleasant & greeted my mother & I with a smile & light conversation. After payment was made she gave us our receipt & wished us a great day. Our food order was correct & I Appreciate this establishment for being up & running to be of service after the devastation of the Lahaina fires. There is a restroom here, it's kid friendly with high chairs but does not have a kid play ground outside or inside for kids/children. There's alot of free parking & also has wheelchair accessibility with railing for easier access. Mahalo“
“I was worried when I saw 1 of the 2 guys holding a huge bunch of cilantro - but we agreed on how disgusting it is, and I was assured none would be on the pulled pork sliders I wanted, so that's what I had and they were fantastic! Great food, and really nice guys. Thank you / Mahalo!“
