“I had a rather pleasant Hangover burrito. It was tasty enough, but it wasn't a 'worldbeater'. The waiting time was about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad, considering how busy they were.
Edit : Six hours later, I'm still full up from the burrito. It might look a tad wussy when you get it, but it's a heck of a lot more substantial!“

“The food is fantastic and the staff is so friendly. Outstanding, authentic Mexican ceviche and service. The tuna tostada and Cabo taco were delicious as well. Anyone looking for great Mexican seafood, this is the place to go in the island.“

“My husband and I go every weekend but could easily eat it every day. It is street food at its best- comforting, affordable and most importantly delicious. Late night vegan spots are hard to find and this place is a gem. Best vegan spot on the island honestly.“

“Really good no frills Mexican food, cash only, the guy is really nice. I got the burrito and quesadilla, both were great. He has homemade green sauce and red sauce, as well as limes and cilantro up front. As close as you'll get to socal Mexican food in Hawaii. Will be back!!“

“Update: Birria tacos were good. Thai dishes were only good when the Thai chef cooks and she supposedly only works during the day (this not dinner). When I returned for dinner and ordered the same dishes, the food quality was more like a 3-star.
Original review (when lunch was cooked by Thai chef): Super delish Thai, Vietnamese, birria tacos fusion food and really nice atmosphere with dog-friendly patio options. Even the mild spicy level dishes are very flavorful. Great presentation. I ordered tom kha and pad see yew, best I’ve had in town, food quality is on-par with Opal Thai!“

“There and 5+ different Mexican restaraunts in Kailua town and I would drive to Tight Tacos in Kaimuki to get my fix because they are that good. When it comes to authentic Mexican food, a lot of places attempt, but Tight Tacos is one that truly hits the mark and sets the standard in Hawaii.
Bites taste fresh, flavorful, and carefully crafted, from their hand-pressed tortillas to their scratch-made salsas. Their tacos are on another level—perfectly seasoned meats, bold flavors, and just the right balance of texture and freshness. THE COCONUT HORCHATA—absolutely to die for. I had two, and definitely could’ve had more. It’s the perfect refreshment to complement the richness of the tacos.
Beyond the food, the experience itself is what makes Tight Tacos a gem. The staff is welcoming, the vibe is laid-back yet vibrant, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. In a town like Kaimuki, where great food spots thrive, Tight Tacos has become a true cornerstone of the local food scene.
I can’t wait for them to open a new location. Tight Tacos isn’t just good, it’s worth the journey.“

“This place has authentic Mexican flavours! I’ve only tried the Al Pastor and birria burrito, but recommend both. The meats are freshly smoked and delicious. The salsas also have incredible flavour, but are authentic in spice level, so try a small amount first if you’re sensitive. Really glad to have found this place after trying many different mediocre Mexican places on the island. A bit dangerous that it’s just a short walk away, I’ll need more self control.“

“Best tacos and nachos on the island“
“I love this place.I've been going for years now, and I always have a great time. The food is amazing, the music is great, and the staff are always friendly. I'm a vegetarian, but the food here is so good that I don't even miss meat!“
“Ordered a chicken Bao taco and chicken regular/street taco. Sooo delicious! The green (spicy) salsa was also excellent. Coming from socal, my taco standards are pretty high and this truck delivers. It's a fusion, so seasonings and details aren't exact if you're looking for Mexicana style street taco; but, they're so delicious nonetheless. I went back for seconds and spoiled my dinner (well worth it). Great compliment to the beers as Howzit.“

“Right on the water on the wharf....elegant evening space and so beautiful for just chilling and eating out. Food is amazing - so juicy, tender, spicy enough, flavorful and great variation. It is a Mexican street food concept!Rice was so fluffy and beans tasty! Family loved it....even the kids bc they have CHEESE QUESADILLAS ?
Kid-friendliness: Lots of space to run around....so much easier than eating at a restaurant. Bring extra plates and napkins for family style tasting of all the trucks.“
“Best ribs on the island. Hands down.“

“Good place you find several types of food and the bar in the foodcourt plaza marquetplace is good
Parking: Parking is free for one hour if your ticket is stamped by any business in the square you have another hour, if you go over two hours they charge you 16 dollars per hour.
Kid-friendliness: It's a very nice square, there's everything, and I even got to see a local dance show.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes accessible elevators and enough space“
“This is a whole food supermarket stocking organic, vegan, vegetarian and healthy alternative brands. We were attracted to the ready to eat meal section which had massive choice in salads, proteins and cuisines. As a tourist it’s great for a healthy cheap meal when you’ve had enough of restaurant food but can’t cook your own. You can eat at outdoor seating. Utensils are provided. I would love to see them off different bins for compostables, recycling and rubbish.“
“Whole Foods Happy Hour Foods were excellent and delicious. We had the chicken wings, cauliflower bites, and Caesar salad. Seriously, better than the other brewery close by. I also had the Honolulu beer with the interesting name. We returned several times for other great foods in the restaurant. Highly recommend sitting in the outside patio.“

“The reason we went to Jack in the box is because, on 1st year anniversary, we were to Hawaii and we spent all of our money and the only thing you can afford for the last day, was he Jack in the box. So we decided to go back again for a 30th anniversary. I still love the tacos.“

“I had about 30 minutes before my "Me time" appointment to get all girled up with lashes, pedicure and manicure. I figured I stop in and have some breakfast. The manager that serviced me was sweet. The environment was kicked back as I noticed families enjoying each other. I sat on a 4 seater. That's all they had. I invited Father God to sit with me... I got to talk with him. And ate my breakfast... cried inside of all things going on in my life. Changes etc. Towards the end, a girl asked if she could use 2 seats... I said yes. Turned around and it looked like time with her mom and dad... at least I had the chair in front of me... #godsseat... I miss my parents. They both alive. They just chose to not be in my life. Been so long. Thank you Jack in the Box for being available for me to sit, eat and talk with God. God bless your buisness “

Breakfast all the time - local favorites, great rewards, and the app works!!!
Far and above all others - just one flaw: no Frappes..“
