It's a small little Mexican restaurant in Waipahu. Staff is very friendly. Food tastes really delicious. This is my third time coming to this restaurant.
Their shrimp enchiladas were very tasty. It came with rice and beans. Portion size was a little small for what you pay for.
My wife ordered the tostadas with hamburger, and it wasn't to my liking. Their hamburger mixture has peas in it in which I felt didn't match.
The Birria tacos is amazing! This was the first time I've ever tried this. These tacos are very cilantro forward. If you're like me, where cilantro tastes like soap, I can tell you that these are delicious and don't taste like soap. The portion was small, in my opinion. I just wanted more!
Esquites, which is their street corn, is very tasty, very creamy.
The street tacos are very tiny. You can gobble them up in 1-2 bites.
Fried ice cream is okay. Portion size is good for 2-3 to share.
The banana loca is just amazing! I highly recommend this. It was just warm and flavorful, with a scoop of ice cream on top. It was perfect for my wife and I to share.
Overall, I will be coming back here for more. On all visits, we spend an average of +$70 for two of us. Food is really tasty. Just portion size could be better.“

“How anyone could give Nico’s Hickam any less than a 5 stars blows my mind. The quality of Nico’s fish is the best on Oahu! And the merch store inside is awesome! Don’t hesitate to come here - I don’t know what the other reviewers here are talking about - the workers were friendly and helpful!

And for the guy that said goto the commissary to get a bowl - I bet you eat the frozen poke too! Gross! Never go to the commissary when Nico’s is right next door!

“I loved this place!! The food was great! One of the best Mexican food spots i have found on the island. Everyone there was really nice. It's a family place not chain or corporation. “I had about 30 minutes before my "Me time" appointment to get all girled up with lashes, pedicure and manicure. I figured I stop in and have some breakfast. The manager that serviced me was sweet. The environment was kicked back as I noticed families enjoying each other. I sat on a 4 seater. That's all they had. I invited Father God to sit with me... I got to talk with him. And ate my breakfast... cried inside of all things going on in my life. Changes etc. Towards the end, a girl asked if she could use 2 seats... I said yes. Turned around and it looked like time with her mom and dad... at least I had the chair in front of me... #godsseat... I miss my parents. They both alive. They just chose to not be in my life. Been so long. Thank you Jack in the Box for being available for me to sit, eat and talk with God. God bless your buisness �“
