“Jillian or Gillian was AMAZING. She was so sweet VERT accommodating the meal was cost efficient and an overall good time. Great place to go if you're into getting away from the tourist part and go to the parts where Hawaiians spend everyday life.“

“Your total will be higher than when you add up their listed prices and add tax and a credit card fee. You'll get half portions of the incorrect items, even after they confirm, verbatim, what you order, but the flavor could make it worth your while. Might try them again earlier than an hour and a half before closing, might cut my losses. Either way, you're forgiven.“

“Countryside is our go to for good food in the morning can’t get food like this on this side anywhere but here! From the home style potatoes to the ono pancakes! And the service is even better always friendly and always a pleasant experience! Mahalo Nui Countryside for filling our bellies and our hearts! A must try when on the west side!“

“Simple reasonably priced fare that was so delicious! I had the vegetable omelette served with greens and rice with an added side of tasty Portuguese Sausage and my husband had the Punke- (eggs, meat choice and rice). The views of the covered balcony were worth the visit!
Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetable omelette!“

“Like most places in Waianae, there aren't tourist dollars floating bad food with one time purchases. Bad restaurants with good marketing can survive in waikiki, but when you're customer base is 90% people who live within a square mile, you have to provide good value and bbq kai is a good example of that.“

“Great place for a quick meal. Outdoor seating. Food was good! I'm not used to Hawaiian barbecue but I could definitely learn to love it. This place is definitely worth checking out. The portions were huge. I had enough leftover for a midnight fridge raid.“

“It's Little Caesars. Predictable corporate menu- locally prepared. This location is busy at times and the hot and ready cabinet may be empty. Be aware, the Google search will bring you to the Pizza Hut located in the same mall but, on the opposite side of building.“

“Yum! The food here is on point. The broth for the pho is ono and consistent. The wafu steak has an impressive presentation. The atmosphere is a bit rough—definitely not the restaurant for first dates, but maybe a year in lol. Overall, this restaurant is great and worth trying.“

“This is a takeout place so the restaurant is nothing special but what it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in food and value. The family and I went for dinner, grabbed takeout to head to the beach and watch the sunset. Portions are huge. You can easily get 2 meals out of this if you wanted (but we didn't because we like to eat). We got the thicker noodles which were garlic-y and delicious. The sweet and sour spare ribs are fall off the bone without being too sweet. Loved them. The pork is also very tender and delicious. orange chicken was probably our least favorite. Tender and fresh but not very strong in the orange department. The chicken katsu is ok, I'd skip it and get the pork. Beef with broccoli was also delicious. Great food as a whole!“

“This restaurant has the absolute best roasted pork. It’s pork belly and the skin is crunchy and perfect. The bbq pork is amazing as well. I had their fried rice which is amazing on it own the first time I visited and then I tried their homemade rice noodles this time. Best meal I had in the island. Bring cash. No credit cards!!!“

“The food is delicious. I had the Kalua Pork and cabbage. Portions are appropriate for the money. In fact, I took the rest to go and got two meals out of it. I appreciate the casual, yet quality, approach of the restaurant and that it is local vibes rather than tourist. There were a number of flies during our entire time eating inside the restaurant.“
