“If you are a Thai food enthusiast and happen to be on the North Shore, there is a hidden gem waiting for you. For those not familiar with the North Shore, it can be a little difficult to find since it is not directly visible from the road but is right next to Kaya's store in Punalu'u, the 3rd food truck from the road (the opposite side of the Aloha Shrimp Truck. The truck is run by an extremely nice and talented couple. The food was as delicious as any Thai restaurant I have visited. We ordered the Spring Rolls, Pad See Ew and Yellow Curry. All were excellent and in large portions that took us two meals to finish. They were even kind enough to provide me a side of spices since I like it spicier then my wife does. We will absolutely go back next time we are on the North Shore. “We are locals and make it a point to eat here. The prices and portions can’t be beat! We have never had a bad hamburger here! The views are spectacular! The service is amazing and personalized. Once you get your order, there is covered seating. There is parking but be careful pulling in and out on to Kamehameha Highway. The owners exemplify the spirit of aloha. “I’m Japanese. I used it for lunch when I toured around Oahu on a rental motorcycle. The staff was kind to me even though I was not good at English. I had a wonderful lunch time with a burrito lunch plate and Coke. I bought an original trucker cap as a souvenir.“

“Stumbled upon Bobos while driving around the island on a rainy day. Food was amazing, better than the food we are having at the resort we are staying at. And Bobo was there sharing awesome homemade mojo hot sauce that was made from fresh garden peppers. This is truly a one of a kind place that really cares about the food and quality. “Ordered "da bomb" with taro fries. The burger was great, loved the cute purple taro bun. The burger itself was cooked well. I've never had taro fries before. I think I like them! They somewhat felt healthier, but maybe that's just my wishful thinking. I would definitely come again!“

“My Soldiers wanted to do a PLT breakfast here and it was a great choice. Most of them had either the Mexi Loco Moco or Churro french toast, i had the chorizo fried rice and all of it was great. Watch out for the brown sauce they bring to the table, its got a kick to it but not crazy hot if you use the right amount. Coffee was a little watery for my liking but still did the job. Its a small place maybe 20-25 seats. Lookin forward to going back for lunch one day.“

“Holy cow! This pizza was by far the best pizza I've had, ever! And this is coming from both trying many pizza spots and making pizza at home.The guy that runs the truck is super chill and does a great job to both make sure you get everything you want, and also ensure you know the price you are paying for the pizza (adding additional toppings can add up rather quickly of course)And, well, as far as atmosphere goes, it's pizza next to the beach...what more can you ask for!Definitely go see this guy when he is open up in the north shore! “Ended up going to this place twice. Ordered four different items. The thing I enjoyed the most was the sandwiches. Did not matter which one but I enjoyed the two I did get.They also offered vegan doughnuts which we did not expect so of course we got a few of those. The wife enjoyed the quesadillas and taco type of salad she got.The food was very fresh and the ingredients were excellent. The place is located in a nice little stop off at an old sugar mill. There are bathrooms and other small shops to visit and a ton of food trucks to check out of all different flavors.Kid-friendliness: My kid ran around and chased chickens while there it was an open and pretty unthreatening location for a child to roam free for a bit while you eat.“

“Fantastic breakfast spot! The fried rice with Portuguese sausage and eggs is something special that you'd never find on the mainland! Everything is to go, so if you're seeking somewhere to eat with a view, go to La'ie Point state wayside. It's only a couple minutes away.“

“This was one of the best food trucks I've eaten from. Tita's is situated in the Hukilau Marketplace right by the entrance of the Polynesian Cultural Centre (PCC). It's a great place to stop by and fuel up before entering the PCC as I didn't see many food places in there.The food here was delicious, well cooked and very flavourful, and the portions were quite large (hard to tell from my pics). It's definitely well worth the money if you arrive hungry. There's about a 10 minute wait for them to prepare your food, but there are some tables and chairs with umbrellas to shield you from the sun right in front of the truck, so you can relax while you wait for them to call your number.“

“Even though this was the 'small' place just at the golf course, I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. My favorite part was, no reservations, when all the other restaurants at the resort were busy. We walked right in to Lei Leo's and got served right away. Eating outside on the patio was pleasant, and the customer service was great all around!“

“We stopped in after dropping a friend home who lived down the street. My daughter was craving a burger and this place popped up. It was a bit after lunch (1:20-1:25) and she wanted to dine in so we walked into the restaurant and was told that they close the dine in at 1:45, and to proceed to the window outside and order there. That kinda turned me off but we complied and placed an order for 3 cheeseburger deluxe, 3 french fries, and a shanghai lumpia. They came out and gave us our bag of food when it was ready and we drove home to Kapolei. We finished eating one of the order of fries on the way home. The cheeseburger deluxe was delicious! The burger was thick and juicy and oh so yummy. The shanghai lumpia hit the spot too. I love supporting local businesses like this. Minus one star for not allowing us to order our food inside and politely let us know they're closing and it'll be packed to go. Other than that eat we ordered was delicious and we'll be back to try out other dishes soon.“

“Amazing, Amazing , Amazing !!My son had his wedding dinner here with 11 guest. Everything was amazing.Just a few things we had:-Lobster Mac and cheese: ok I laughed when I saw this and the price but my son ordered it so we all tried it and wow. Enough for 3 - 4 people to share easily. Very creamy and very large chunks of lobster.-Seafood trio (2 scallops, 2 huge shrimp, mahi mahi and mashed potatoes) : Everything about this plate was amazing. The scallops were my favorite. It may not look like a lot but when the pieces are this perfect you don't need a lot.-8oz filet mignon : cooked perfectly and bigger then I would have guessed. Beautiful presentation (our picture just wasn't good lol)-Seared Ahi : very fresh, just enough salt and no fishy taste at all. The sauce on this plane was heaven. Also the portion on here is sharable if you also have an appetizer.- Cheesecake: very rich and fed four of us especially after all of the other food- Chocolate mousse cake : My son and his wife had this and it was VERY rich but delicious. Presentation was gorgeous.- We had multiple cocktails around the table. I stuck with champagne and to be honest stick with what you usually drink. The drink menu is very nice but in my opinion spend your money on the food and split a good bottle of wine or champs.Amazing place for a wedding party or any special occasion. The view was amazing and staff spectacular.“

“Hidden gem in between Wahiawa and Mililani. You won't be able to see it from the main road right off the freeway.If you're able to find it, you'll be glad you did!!We went for dinner during the middle of the week, food was delicious and service was great!! Our server Chaden constantly checked up on us. The atmosphere is up beat as everyone in their seems to be enjoying their time with live music and conversations during dinner.Definitely will be back, maybe to try out their weekend breakfast.“

“Jeremy is still going strong with his lunch wagon. But you people really need to get out of my way because I dislike waiting in that long line (J/K). Scoopers had to raise their prices for all plates by one dollar (come on people, you can afford to pay another measly buck) due to rising costs but it is still incredibly affordable, and the quality hasn't dipped at all. Unpretentious old school plate lunches hit the spot. Always.“

Or mines... I was driving home craving some meat jhun. I was going to go to a place I remember when I was young but having been there twice in the past few years. It just didn't remind me of my childhood memories. I did the usual, searched by stars, read reviews. Decided to give this place a shot. I will not lie, I was a little frustrated in trying to find this place, it's literally a hole in the wall kind of place. You really need to know what you're looking for and where you're looking for it. However I found it. I got to the window to order and it was really quiet. I sat for about 20 seconds and thought maybe no one knew I was there. And then I saw her literally the cutest little old lady approach the window. My crappy day at work literally faded from my mind and was instantly replaced with the warm calm of this ladies humbleness. She took my order, answered all the questions I had and I finished our conversation by asking if she worked on Sunday (it was only Friday, I haven't even tried this place yet) and I was already considering my second return because of how disarming the lady was to the stresses I had been carrying with me. Her response? She paused for a second and said yes I will be here, but after church. Then she placed her hand on something that was on her wall and she said I have to give my blessings for the blessings I received. I told myself, I'm coming back here again. Even though I don't go to church, this lady was emanating so much love that I can honestly say I felt blessed having found this place. lol I know crazy right? Yah yah yah but how was the food you must be dying to know! You're absolutely right! You've been dying since the day you were born but you're in luck cause my meat jhun was awesome and you're having a rough day, come visit this lady and she'll probably have you realizing you were happy you ended up there as well! “Wonderful ahi katsu! The owners are great people, friendly and helpful. One day I have to venture out and try their other menu options. I get hung up on the Ahi Katsu and Spicy Ahi mix plate every single time. They are in a new permanent location in Aiea, on Kam Hwy across near 49ers Diner and 7-11. Used to be a used car lot, now home to D&L Seafood, Shay's Smashburgers, Joe's Backyard BBQ, and more.“

“We found this place on another online platform after going to the Dole Plantation. It is located in a strip mall that looks old and run down so we were skeptical. We located the restaurant in the corner of the lot (next to the Goodwill). We sent a scout in take a look prior lol. The scout gave us the all clear so we entered the restaurant, which was clean and had open tables. We were greeted by a nice man who took the time to get to know us and give us some island history. Ok to the food: There were 4 of us. Each ordered a different entree. 1. Spam hand roll and a tempura hand roll - deliciousness 2. Energy roll- this tasted very fresh and was a roll with eel and avocado on top with eel sauce- deliciousness 3. Ahi poke bento box- came out looking just like the picture on the menu( how many times does that happen!) lots of fresh fish and rolls- deliciousness 4. Tempura shrimp bowl with spicy sauce on top. Tempura shrimp Packed in a bowl on a bed of rice. - deliciousness 5. Spicy ahi poke bowl- came out with tons of fresh ahi covered in spicy mayo and sriracha sauce. - delicious if you like spicy fresh fish. This mom and pop shop deserves your business. The food (all of it) tasted fresh and made with care. I would not write it if it wasn’t true. They will serve you a complimentary miso soup to start ( no spoons here, sip out of cup!) All in all great grub. We will be back!“

“Absolutely delicious food. By far the very best Mexican food on Oahu. Family ran and food is prepared fresh daily. They offer great daily specials, and I don't mean "deals", I mean the different types of meals offered. There is no question all the other "Mexican" food in Wahiawa has taken not only notice of their presence but taken a hit in their sales. This place stands alone compared to the competition. “Great taco option for us in Mililani! Food truck taco and burrito options. No seating available. Priced very fair. Very tasty!! Got 2 tacos - chicken, fish (they were out of carne asada) and 1 shrimp burrito. Fish and shrimp were breaded. Tacos are street style but very generous with the protein. Very busy in the evening, be prepared to wait. Food was well worth the wait. Check their instagram @tacotruckhi to see hours and location. Will definitely be back!“

“Great food and friendly service. Don't let the location or the outside appearance scare you off, this is an excellent place for a quick and cheap meal. We fed an adult and 2 kids for breakfast for $14 total. Can't beat that anywhere in Hawaii. We'll be back.“

“I accidentally discovered Coral Kingdom while driving around Oahu a year ago. It honestly doesn't look like a place I would usually eat; the space itself is mainly a gift/jewelry shop with a counter inside. But once I parked and smelled that fresh food outside on the grill, I knew I made the right decision. I was happy to be able to visit again this year, and found the food to be as delicious as I remembered. I opt for the spicy grilled shrimp, which is not so spicy that it loses flavor. Last year there was only outside seating at picnic benches and a few small tables. This year the seating inside was open. Service is always quick, and there is plenty of parking.“
