“Aji Ramen is a true gem that every ramen lover must visit! The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

Now, let’s talk about the food! The portions are huge, and the ramen here is simply amazing! Each bowl is a perfect harmony of rich, flavorful broth, impeccably cooked noodles, and fresh toppings. Every slurp was a delightful experience that kept me wanting more.
The fried noodles, too, were outstanding – crispy, savory, and just the right amount of satisfying.

But what truly stole the show for me were the crab and cream cheese puffs. I can confidently say they are the best I've encountered at any restaurant in Hawaii! These puffs are incredibly light, bursting with creamy goodness, and filled with a perfect blend of tender crab meat. They are truly a must-try!

I can't wait to return and indulge in more of their incredible dishes! Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving flavorful affordable ramen and delightful appetizers!“

“Take out only, clean homey family run okazuya. They are open until they sell out! CASH ONLY! Shoyu hotdog is soooo good, fried noodles with toppings taste just like the old Sato's they took over! Plenty of parking.

Parking: Free parking lot with lots of stalls. Easy to maneuver.“

“You do need to go there early in the AM. They do run out before closing. Sometimes if you know what you want it is best to order ahead of time. My husband loves the chicken and oshi sushi. They do mix the type of sushi (rice) with either musubi, maki or/and oshi. The bento comes in two sizes. Check out their website for choices.“

“Auntie was so thoughtful of our kids, super sweet and generous with the ginger! We've ordered delivery a few times, but I'm happy to know that going in is a great experience too.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space and a friendly atmosphere make this place great for kids. There are also little cartoon strips along the windows for kids to look at while they wait.“

“The food hear is delicious and served in generously sizes portions. I recently visited for the first time. I ordered the Waikele burger and was not disappointed. The fries were also cooked perfectly.

I highly recommend eating OUTSIDE if there are more than a handful of people inside the restaurant. The acoustics were really and in there. It was practically full at lunch so the noise was incredibly loud.

Otherwise a great experience. Service was excellent. Had to wait a little at times, but it was a busy lunch time so seemed reasonable.“

“There's not enough space to right the good things about this place. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted and acknowledged by everyone, including the sushi chefs. Water and drink order is perfectly timed. Whether you order teishoku complete meals or sushi, the flavor and and portions are spot on. If you choose to sit at the sushi counter, the spread is just amazing. From white fish, tuna, to shellfish and sometimes even a fruit or plant to cleanse the pallet. I would recommend reservations as this place is always busy. Takeout is also very good!“

“I’m not sure about the atmosphere because I ordered takeout and my son picked up our order. The food, however, was delicious. The presentation very nice. I love the idea of authentic Japanese dishes as well as offering dishes that have a modern flair. The rice was good too.“

“Finally got back to this place on a lunch run in Kalihi. When you want a hearty local style brekkie plate with the famous garlic chicken that will leave a lasting reminder when you burp all day this is the place yessa?

The place moved a couple years ago to a newer shopping plaza with ample parking across New City Nissan, and now accepts credit card and they also answer the phone to take phone orders so that helps make the lines here shorter... Iykyk.

I always get the Breakfast Combo special deluxe with garlic chicken, 2 bacon, scrambled eggs and fried rice. A classic local brekkie when youre hungry. Prices have gone up so its around $13 bucks plus tax but its comfort food. Support local.... 5 stars??“

“I've never had shabushabu before and it was amazing! So many choices of everything! It's buffet and ridiculously delicious. So much food and so healthy too. “Just when I was figuring what I was going to have for lunch, (since I skipped breakfast) my neighbor knocked on my door bringing food from Mamaya in Pearl Kai Aiea. I am blessed to have awesome neighbors that always share good eats with us and this is a spot I have yet to try. I was super excited because I’m originally from Aiea and anything from my hometown makes me super happy! They gave me a Bento Combo that had: Teri Beef, Fried Chicken, a slice of SPAM dipped in a teriyaki glaze, & a piece of fried panko fish with small container tartar sauce on a bed of multi grain rice. There was also a container with noodles with an assortment of toppings as well. Delicious! Very tasty and full of flavor. Noodles were firm and just right, not salty. The Beef Teriyaki was especially yummy!! I highly recommend this tasty local spot 😁👍“

“Stopped here quickly to grab lunch today (9/23/2024) and everything was delicious! I ordered a chicken katsu bento box and the owner made it fresh (I heard the oil sizzling and everything). The owner was also very kind and kept thanking me for being patient even though it took less than 15 minutes. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I also bought a bag of Kohakutō (an agar agar candy that is soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside) and it was also interesting to try! The price for one bento box is also super good for the amount of food.“

“There was a wonderful koi pond in this restaurant. It was not that busy. However, they seemed shorthanded because I kept looking for the waitress for a take out box. Finally, I had to stand up and ask for one from a man in a red shirt who appeared to be helping another table. The food was good. I especially liked the tempura of pumpkin, and string beans, the shrimp tempura was perfect. I ordered miso Butterfish. My husband liked it, but I did not like that it had a lot of black char on it. I read somewhere that the black Char is carcinogenic.“

“I’ve dined in and done take out. They’re usually busy for dinner time and it’s limited seating so come early or you can wait. The staff is friendly and it’s quaint inside.
I like the free miso soup they bring before your food, and there’s plenty of options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. The rolls are huge and well worth the price!
I highly recommend the spicy ahi, titanic, SOS, and SMT roll. One of my new favorite spots!“
