“Employees always seem to be in a good mood. One male employee is always super upbeat and friendly when we come in the evening. Food always seems fresh and warm. A few times the rice has tasted off and had brown burns on the bottom so I have just switched to the chow mein. Overall this is a very good location to eat at. Always pretty clean.“

“Food & service is awesome. Very clean. Packaging is pretty & reusable. Didnt even have to warm my food after getting home 2.5 hours later. Large servings so always have leftovers which are just as good the next day. Highly recommend!“

“Good food, always fresh in my experiences with eating here. Doesn't cost a lot, and if you go away hungry from their buffet, it's your own fault. Would recommend to anyone. Also I've never been grossed out by the bathroom. That's a big bonus for me. After using the restroom I like coming out feeling relieved and clean not ready to shower as soon as I get home...cause eewwwww.... So thank you for keeping up on your restroom as well as the face appearance of your restaurant.“

“Ordered for delivery and the app was easy to use and quoted an hour for delivery. Before I could finish vacuuming and she was knocking on my door. This lady was so sweet!!! Now the food was... It was amazing! I ordered Mongolian beef and chicken with veggies. The egg rolls were perfect, light crispy and full of goodness. Both entrees were fantastic. Definitely the best I have had in the Ankeny area in the past. Thank you for doing a great job on customer service and quality😊“

So we decided to give this place a try… and wow, what a surprise! 🤩🥢 This restaurant completely exceeded our expectations. The fried spring rolls tasted homemade and were perfectly crispy and delicious. 🥟✨ And the egg drop soup? Absolutely amazing. 🍲 It had that comforting, homemade flavor with a rich, savory broth and generous bits of vegetables and chicken in every spoonful. You can really tell they care about quality and flavor.

“We stopped in here for some grub before a long drive back to eastern Iowa. If you’re not eating here, you should be. Every single dish we ordered came out piping hot and fresh. All the flavors were on point and nothing was lacking. It so quiet in the dining area, a welcome relief after being in a loud amusement park for two days. This is the best Chinese food I have had in almost 8yrs. Have been looking for a decent place since leaving Illinois and I finally found it…2 1/2 hrs from home :( well worth it and will become our go to place when we are in this area from now on.“

“I’m a new pescatarian but ive been a vegetarian for a really long time. It’s hard finding Chinese food that has all the great flavors but shrimp but wow does me eggroll deliver. Service was so nice, wait was quick. The food was amazing. Seriously can’t recommend enough ! :D“

“Absolutely the best Asian food in all of Des Moines. Not only is the restaurant super clean, but the staff is excellent. The owners are always there putting in hard work and you can tell they just genuinely love to feed people. The portions are great. The wait time is generally a bit longer but that's because everything is prepared fresh to order. Nothing is made a head of time. I eat here as often as I can and I drive all the way from West Des Moines to do it. I really like the Phò, the Egg rolls and crab Rangoon are phenomenal! I sometimes order the Empress Chicken which is always great! Everything they make is terrific! The outside and location can fool you. It's nothing flashy on the outside and is not in the best area, but once you're inside, you forget about any of that. I'd give them more stars if I could! -Aaron“

“Just went here for my bday dinner last night with family (was a little worried due to reading prior reviews) and all 7 of us had an excellent experience! Bar tender was friendly and did a great job, and the wait staff served happily and quickly. Chef did a great job and entertained and engaged us, while we had delicious food at the hibachi grill. “Wow, first time trying this place per my co-worker talking about it everytime saying how much he loves this place so I decided to go after class and he sure was right! I will probably become a regular customer now! I got the Black mushroom chicken and two egg rolls for lunch, I normally don't like egg rolls because I think they are overkilled with black pepper but these have a perfect balance, they are huge!! And very fresh tasting! Thank you!“

“I love the limited time beyond orange chicken ~ I wish it was forever. However even when I had it cooked fresh it was way too crispy ~ almost hard. Overall it tasted good and I would eat it again. Just wondering if the cooking method was tweaked since they had it last time. Overall I wish there were more vegan options. Love the service, atmosphere, food needs tweaked a little however.
