“I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks. I don't dislike the chain, I'm just not a huge coffee drinker either and would rather go to a more local cafe given the option. I hadn't, however, visited this Starbucks on Middle Road ever, even though I live literally two blocks from the location. After a quiet Friday meal out near the TBK Bank Sports Complex, I decided to stop in for a quick after dinner treat. There's not much to really say about this particular Starbucks that can't be said about other franchise locations - the space is open, clean, and offers the same food and drink options as any other Starbucks. In keeping with other modern architectural trends, there is no drop ceiling, leaving the wood supports, conduit, and HVAC ductwork exposed. As with other reviews I've written, this isn't a criticism. Between the extra space in the overhead and the soft accent lighting throughout, the dining area was quite cozy. For this visit, I opted to get a hot chocolate and package of dark chocolate covered grahams. The hot chocolate was ready within an expected period of time and I soon took a seat in one of the yellow faux leather chairs in the corner of the space. If you've had Starbucks hot chocolate, you know there's not much more for me to say about it here. It was hot chocolate with a little cream and chocolate syrup on top, the drink itself likely prepared from a powdered mix. Nothing bad about that - I bought a big container of Starbucks hot cocoa mix at Costco last year and routinely enjoy it at home. Two further things of mention about this space, one positive and the other just a little weird. On the positive side, two of the walls for the cafe space are almost entirely made up of windows. I imagine this would be quite nice during the light hours and summer months. The weird thing I find worth mentioning is also related to these windows, however. As I was glancing about the space, I noticed that along the windowed walls that many of the 120 VAC outlets are located about 10 feet from the ground above the windows. Nothing really wrong with this, but I wouldn't plan on coming back to do any work on my laptop here as there were only two outlets available at ground level. To conclude a review that is going a bit long, I can confidently say this is a Starbucks and my experience during this visit tracks with past experiences at other Starbucks locations. Don't overthink this review or others on Google - it is a Starbucks. It is clean, they serve the beverages quickly, and it is a nice looking space.
Vegetarian options: Coffee and tea should be fine for the vegetarian crowd. So are many of their pastries, more than likely.
Kid-friendliness: There were children in this Starbucks when I visited. They seemed happy and unperturbed. There are also high chairs available for use. That's pretty kid friendly, I think.
Parking: There's plenty of free parking around the space.“

“Milltown was on my way home from work so I stopped in to check them out. I got a seasonal latté and the espresso tasted bold, but not burnt and the flavoring wasn't overwhelming. It was a nice way to start my morning! Did not try their food but it seemed like there were some good options. Nice ambience and staff as well. Surprised there weren't more people there at 6:30am.“

“They're so busy! And, rightfully so! The Lavender Cookie Latté I got was spectacular! Good espresso, flavorful syrup that's not overly sweet, right temp! Such important factors for regular coffee drinkers. Their baked goods seemed to be pretty popular as well! Will have to try them sometime. Looks like a great place to meet up with people. Plenty of seating inside and out. The staff is so nice and welcoming. Efficient, as well, without sacrificing niceties. Highly recommend!“

“There's literally a Starbucks store not a block down Middle Road from this one. I know it's pretty much a hackneyed and tired observation at this point, but I still feel compelled to make it. At any rate, I happened to be doing some shopping within the HyVee that contains this Starbucks and decided to stop here for a tea and pastry. Never done this before, but felt compelled to do so today. This place has a weird look. The accent lighting fixtures in most Starbucks are present across the trellis that surrounds this location, but they do nothing to add to the functionality or overall appearance of the location, as uncovered 4 ft florescent light fixtures provide the same harsh white light common to this and most other Hy Vee locations. It's kind of a bummer - I wish Hy Vee would fix this.I got an Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade and an Iced Lemon Loaf. No issues with either - they were of the quality expected of any other Starbucks. I enjoyed both while sitting at one of the two tables adjacent to the kiosk while looking at this location's particularly strange painting that I swear every Starbucks has to have their own version of.In summary, the food and drink of this Starbucks was standard fare, but the grocery store ambiance took away something from the experience. I think if Hy Vee fixed their lighting around the Starbucks, this would be better. Don't know how they'd do that - maybe add a separate drop ceiling around the area to make it a little darker? Anyway, thanks Starbucks!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of coffee, tea, and pastry will satisfy the meatless consumers among us.
Kid-friendliness: None of the employees seemed anti-child. Specific to their seating, there aren't child seats.
Parking: There's a large parking lot available outside the Hy Vee that can also be used by those wanting to partake in this Starbucks.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's no real wheelchair seating right at this Starbucks. If needed, however, you could probably go to the Hy Vee dining area close by to find something suitable.“

“Delicious ice cream and tons of interesting shake flavors! I've had great experiences at the Moline and West Davenport locations, but the latter is my preferred for the inviting interior.“
“The Bettendorf library is a wonderful place to find great programming, book sales, resources, and good old relaxing. I highly recommend everyone to stop in and enjoy what the library has on offer.“

“I had the $6 meal deal. The hashbrowns were not crispy and had a different taste..the bagel was good. My grandson wanted a frozen caramel coffee drink and the girl tried to charge us 5.99 instead of the price it was in his ap ($4.79). When asked why, she suggested in the ap he had points and he said that was not correct. It took her a couple minutes but she figured out the difference and charged us $4.79. Moral: Watch your screen.“
