“Our group of sports enthusiast have been spending a lot of time at 3rd Base lately, especially during March Madness. Tonight was great, Hailey stayed open for us so that we could stay and watch Iowa State Play. The outcome wan't the best but, once a fan, always a fan. Love the new remodel, the food is always hot and really good. They never miss a beat when it comes to taking care of us. Mary P, thank you for always helping to get us set up. “This place is into the old games of pool, darts, and poker. At the same time, while it is called a “bar”, the real attraction is the food. I had the fried shell tacos, and they were awesome! There are numerous options and a kid’s menu too. The prices are good.

They have a lot of liquor on hand as well as beer. However, the beer selection is heavy with domestic pilsner, yet when I visited, they did have Guinness on tap. Also, they do have extended happy hours and specials. Very affordable. They also have plenty of parking.“

“I love this place! There's only a few places I go out to. I even had my first drink(legal drink) that Dan served back when I was in grad school house hunting. Crazy dan still serves and works here lol.but ultimately I recommend this place a thousand times over. Gracie and Dan have always been my favorite. insane customer service and bartender skills. Gracie runs this place like a pro/killer. And the food is always good. overall I'm always enthralled every time I'm there.“

At first I thought it was a joke but then I was informed that it was the owner who had made that there policy. “Great food and atmosphere but needs work on handling large crowds for events. Tonight my fiance and I had a wild experience lol. Arrived knowing we would wait, was quoted 30 min to 1 hour. Agreed and took a seat at the bar for drinks, table was available within the 30 min time frame which was great. Was seated and didn’t see a server for 35 minutes, we expected a wait and wasn’t too bothered at this point over it. Once the server came over to us he said he thought we were being taken care of already since I had a drink from the bar. We brushed it off and placed our drinks and food order at that time. My food came out within 5 minutes and we were pretty stunned with how quick that came considering how packed it was. Now, after 10 min of him not getting his order and we also didn’t have our drinks we looked around to find someone to ask. I called out to the server and the manager several times, but didn’t succeed in grabbing their attention and fiance didn’t want me to get up and find someone. 40 minutes after my food arrived the server came up to us and I asked about his food and our drinks. I said well just take our bill and a to go box for mine. He did bring out my fiancés order and removed it from the bill. We understand it’s not entirely the servers fault but overall we were pretty bummed since we do enjoy this spot for the atmosphere and the food has always been good. A few other tables also were saying they had similar experiences tonight and also just wanted their bills as well.“

“Went to lunch with my family and some friends on a Sunday afternoon. Manager was quick to accommodate our group as there were only smaller tables available at the time. He and his staff were very friendly with us, the food was great, and I would recommend this place to anyone. It's great to have a place with Keno that is stylish, comfortable atmosphere (for all members of the family) with a very friendly staff to visit on a regular basis. We will be regulars here soon.“
