The food was absolutely astronomical, and the drinks were perfect. The coffee was out of this world, too—hands down the best meal I've had in a long time. “My husband and I went to CB for a concert and I searched for a fun, cute, local place to eat. So glad I found the Porch! We had DELICIOUS food and loved the atmosphere. I love all things vintage so I especially enjoyed that each table had different salt and pepper shakers, most of which were true vintage. The plates our meals came on reminded me of dinner at my great grandma’s house.. which is a good thing!…and I noticed everyone had different plates, too. So fun! Absolutely love a good down-home feeling place. 10/10 will return!”

“I’ve been to Dave’s hot chicken a few times, and I’ve loved it each visit. The restaurant is usually always busy, and you can expect to wait 20+ minutes for your food any given day. However, I recommend this restaurant still due to the great food they have there. The chicken is cooked perfectly with the best blend of spices and sauce. Come hungry, because you will get your money’s worth of food.”

“My wife and I were in town for the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit at the Mid-America Center. Afterward, we looked up restaurants near us and chose La Sierra because several reviews mentioned authentic cuisine. We were not misled. The menu is small and straight forward. Pick your fillings and choose it in either a gordita, burrito, quesadilla or on a plate. We both got selections as gorditas. My wife ordered: Asado De Puerco, Picadillo Verde and Picadillo Rojo. I ordered: Papas Con Carne, Papas Con Chorizo and Deshabrada. I also wound up getting a burrito with Machaca. All the meats were seasoned nicely and delicious. Both the verde and rojo salsas they brought out enhanced the food. The rojo does have a kick (same sauce as in the Desshbrada) but the heat didn't linger so eating it was enjoyable. The margarita I ordered was delicious, made with real lime juice. Some people might complain because it is regular sized, served in a glass roughly the size of a martini glass. It isn't a gigantic gimmick you find in a lot of American-Mexican restaurants. It hit the spot! The fruit empanadas were lovely, the crust similar to a sugar cookie with strawberry or apricot. We tried both and thought the apricot won by a hair. Its sweet flavor was slightly stronger than the strawberry. The service was excellent, both our server and the gentleman from the kitchen (maybe owner) who brought out food to the table were extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with. We've marked La Sierra in our "must do again" list and when we care back in Omaha, we will be stopping in.”

“they were at the late night at the zoo and barely an hour into the event they started crossing off items on the menu due to not being prepared for the size of crowd. The guy at the window seemed like he could careless to be there. I also understand that its a larger event but having to wait 20+ mins for simple loaded fries is ridiculous. After 25 mins i ended up getting a refund. Im not usually one to leave bad reviews, but felt this one was needed.”

“Delicious!! Finally got to try these wonderful hand pies after following on socials for awhile. Made the trip to Omaha and tried a savory dill and hashbrown pie and a bourbon peach pie. Also purchased several frozen to bring back home. Great flavor and the service was fantastic. Super cute shop too. Will return every trip to Omaha to try more of the delicious flavors.”

The presentation of each plate is like a piece of art. The chef and team’s food is some of the most mouthwatering, flavorful food you will ever eat!! Definitely a hidden gem in downtown Omaha.
