They have free bread for appetizers and the food came out fairly quickly. I got the mashed potato, sirloin, corn and Caesar salad. My partner got the ribeye, Mac and cheese, sprouts and a drink (as I type this I realize this was a lot lol). They ended up giving us a free dessert because they insisted the wait was longer than expected which was super nice of them. All in all the bill came to about $60.“

“The bread was good but the two types of butter served with it made it that much better, great salad, brussel sprouts were delicious, the ribeye was tender and juicy but lacked a lot of flavor, great atmosphere and the service was amazing, our waiter was great and very knowledgeable about the area.“

“We were visiting Omaha on vacation in our attempt to see all 50 states. Since we were going to be here over Mother’s Day, we made lunch reservations at Gorat’s. I was so excited for a famous Gorat steak. However when we arrived we found it was actually a (lovely) buffet for the holiday, not the traditional menu. Well, let’s just say that the manager that day was the most INCREDIBLE, kindest, most thoughtful manager of a restaurant I’ve ever met. She went way out of her way to make sure I had the full Gorat experience. Our server was also equally wonderful. I don’t know if we will ever get a chance to come to Omaha again, but if we do, Gorat’s will be our first stop. Also, the lasagna they had on the buffet was soooooo good. Second only to my brisket lasagna. If you want a great dining experience, Gorat’s is the place to go.“

“The three of us really enjoyed our meal. We added our son to the reservation last minute, and they cheerfully accommodated him. We've been here many times and it is one of our favorite restaurants. Last night, the meat was especially delicious, tender and well-seasoned, and the staff made a point of delivering our favorite choices to the table. They even accommodated my preference for medium well done. The salad bar seemed to have the usual choices, but we like almost all of it so no complaints there! Our waitress Denise was a pleasure, just perfect really, and two other staff members checked on us and helped to remove plates. Also, I noted a drink server this visit who really kept up with our water and soda.This was needed in the past, so I was relieved for that. The restaurant ran the smoothest it ever has, and it made for a truly great anniversary dinner for us. I'm excited to return!“
