“I’ve driven by this spot countless times and finally stopped in - and I can’t wait to bring my family and others back with me. This spot is definitely underrated. Their menu is limited and specialized for sure, with only a few main dish options, but this is because everything is super fresh. As a vegetarian, I was pleased that they had a combination of all their different lentils and veggies that they had to offer all put together in a giant plate - and I mean GIANT. Each lentil dish, green, red, and yellow, had a distinct difference in flavor profile. The yellow was my favorite, being the creamiest, and the red was richer and deep - warming me from the inside out. There was also a variety of vegetables from a fresh salad to cooked greens, and then a cooked cabbage. I couldn’t believe that everything was so unique from each other! The mind chutney (maybe?) was a perfect way to add freshness between bites. One piece of the experience that makes it truly unique is that everything is served on their bread rather than with utensils, and you get additional on the side to pull apart and start dipping and grabbing and mixing up every bite.

I left truly stuffed to the brim feeling that every bite had been worth every penny! The ambiance is casual, with pieces of Ethiopian pottery and tapestry hung around. The service was kind and personal, with the chef herself coming out to check on how we were doing and what we liked best!“

“Cute place with plenty of seating. We were able to make a reservation online and get right in with two adults and a high chair. The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious. I had a migraine from hell today and needed food…the Doordash location (not this location but the one in the mall) forgot my sauces… I called, chaotically I’m sure- I’m cranky from this migraine, and they were so sweet. I asked if I could grab sauces after my work shift since they’re in walking distance, and they walked them to me for lunch instead!!Best customer service ever! “We were in the area taking care of HVAC repairs for a customer and had a little time between calls, so we decided to stop in at Paddy McGown’s for lunch and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. It was the perfect spot to recharge before heading back out for the day. We sat towards the back of the reatraunt and was quickly serviced by a waitress to get our drink orders and given menus. I ordered the patty melt and my daughter ordered a Canadian pizza. both were really good. the only thing we wished were different and I say we because she stole a lot of my fries lol were the fries needed seasoned with something. we had to add salt. and the patty melt sandwich could've used an added sauce like Dorothy lynch or something. it wasn't dry just needed something else to add flavor. otherwise it was really good. will definitely be back.“

My server seemed to be really off, she fumbled her words, had a hard time answering my questions, (maybe she was nervous) etc. I ordered a martini but she brought me something terrible in a rocks glass! We ordered, the salad bar was amazing!!! Fresh and had several choices. Our meal was another story, our waitress got our order wrong. I wanted chicken parmigiana and I got a sandwich?! She did get it corrected but I had to wait longer. At the end of our meal the manager trish came over to offer apologies. She also brought me the martini I originally asked for that she said she made herself. Awesome!! It was delicious!! She was friendly, chatted with us for a moment and deliver our bill. She didn’t even charge me for the drink! We noticed her guiding our server who was then having issues at another table. I would say we won’t be back but Trish really helped turned our opinion around! “If tomorrow were my last day in Omaha, Scriptown Brewing Company would be at the top of my list of places I would absolutely need to spend time at. Scriptown is everything a local brewery should be: great vibes and location, warm and welcoming staff, and the best tasting beer in town. Scriptown was on Farnam Street before Blackstone turned into the bustling nightlife street that it is today. It was amazing when it opened, and it has kept its true identity to this day even as the street and the businesses around it have perpetually been changing over the past 10 years. The owner John is a true beer guy: he's an expert at his craft and simultaneously doesn't fall into "trendy" beers while also listening to his customer base on what they want. It's been incredible to watch them navigate the hurdles COVID threw their way, incorporate a side restaurant, garage doors on the front of the business, and host live music events. Evan is the Czar of Scriptown. Incredibly nice bartender who I'd bet a weeks worth of wages that he knows his regulars better than any bartender in the city. If you're a runner, be sure to give Scriptown Running Club a shot. Rain or shine, 100 degrees or -10 degrees, they meet every Thursday. Last, don't be alarmed if you don't drink beer - they make their own ginger beer and have the best mules in Omaha as well.
