But the experience I had here was genuinely so amazing that I want to do whatever I can to promote and support this family business. Somalian cuisine is so underrated it's crazy. The chicken and fish that we ordered was so incredibly fresh and well-seasoned, but they also went out of their way to give us complimentary lamb soup, bananas, and fruit juice. The service was so friendly that they literally gave us everything we asked for, including swapping out sides and meat options on our orders. It was really cool to see the parents, sons, and daughters all serving us, and the environment felt so hospitable. Hassan would frequently come check up on us, and it was very fun talking with him and learning about his background. If you guys are reading this, I want to say thank you very much for the amazing, one-of-a-kind service!“

“Cute place with plenty of seating. We were able to make a reservation online and get right in with two adults and a high chair. The waitress we had was very friendly and did a great job answering any questions and explaining the menu. We had the crab rangoons, everything smoked salmon, and 3 sushi rolls…all were delicious. We both really enjoyed our drinks as well. I would return!“

The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. It was the perfect spot to recharge before heading back out for the day. We sat towards the back of the reatraunt and was quickly serviced by a waitress to get our drink orders and given menus. I ordered the patty melt and my daughter ordered a Canadian pizza. both were really good. the only thing we wished were different and I say we because she stole a lot of my fries lol were the fries needed seasoned with something. we had to add salt. and the patty melt sandwich could've used an added sauce like Dorothy lynch or something. it wasn't dry just needed something else to add flavor. otherwise it was really good. will definitely be back.“

“If tomorrow were my last day in Omaha, Scriptown Brewing Company would be at the top of my list of places I would absolutely need to spend time at. Scriptown is everything a local brewery should be: great vibes and location, warm and welcoming staff, and the best tasting beer in town. Scriptown was on Farnam Street before Blackstone turned into the bustling nightlife street that it is today. It was amazing when it opened, and it has kept its true identity to this day even as the street and the businesses around it have perpetually been changing over the past 10 years. The owner John is a true beer guy: he's an expert at his craft and simultaneously doesn't fall into "trendy" beers while also listening to his customer base on what they want. It's been incredible to watch them navigate the hurdles COVID threw their way, incorporate a side restaurant, garage doors on the front of the business, and host live music events. Evan is the Czar of Scriptown. Incredibly nice bartender who I'd bet a weeks worth of wages that he knows his regulars better than any bartender in the city. If you're a runner, be sure to give Scriptown Running Club a shot. Rain or shine, 100 degrees or -10 degrees, they meet every Thursday. Last, don't be alarmed if you don't drink beer - they make their own ginger beer and have the best mules in Omaha as well. “Awesome Experience! At first I wasn’t impressed. My server seemed to be really off, she fumbled her words, had a hard time answering my questions, (maybe she was nervous) etc. I ordered a martini but she brought me something terrible in a rocks glass! We ordered, the salad bar was amazing!!! Fresh and had several choices. Our meal was another story, our waitress got our order wrong. I wanted chicken parmigiana and I got a sandwich?! She did get it corrected but I had to wait longer. At the end of our meal the manager trish came over to offer apologies. She also brought me the martini I originally asked for that she said she made herself. Awesome!! It was delicious!! She was friendly, chatted with us for a moment and deliver our bill. She didn’t even charge me for the drink! We noticed her guiding our server who was then having issues at another table. I would say we won’t be back but Trish really helped turned our opinion around! She’s definitely a manager who cares! We will give it another try and hopefully just get a more proficient server!“
